ROH Best In The World 2012 Predictions!

Later today ROH returns to internet pay per view with Best In The World 2012. I almost forgot to post my predictions for the event, but, thankfully I saw an ad for it on Facebook to remember! So, here is the card with my predictions.

Hybrid Fighting Rules:
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly

This is a complete toss up between these two guys. Obviously, they are the future of the promotion and last I remember Cole has a victory over O’Reilly. That’s a little fuzzy on my part. So, basing it off of my fuzzy memory, I’m going to pick O’Reilly here.

The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Guardians of Truth
I tried looking up the Guardians of Truth only to realize that it’s a mystery team. I could try and guess who the team is, but I wouldn’t get it right. I’m figuring it’s a no-name team to try and make a splash in the promotion. I’m figuring the Briscoe Brothers will prevail to get back on track.

Eddie Edwards vs. Homicide
Is Homicide back to be involved with ROH on a regular basis? I’m tending to believe that’s not the case since he is involved with other companies like Extreme Rising, which has IPPV’s as well. Edwards should go over here since he is an ROH regular. It’s nice to see Homicide back, though.

For the ROH Television Championship – Elimination Match
[champion] Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal vs. Tommaso Ciampa

First off, I like the gimmick that Ciampa has developed. Becoming a crazy dude after losing his first match was the right way to go with Ciampa. One of these days he is going to win the ROH Television Championship. I’m fairly certain for the past year I have predicted Ciampa to win the championship whenever he gets a title shot. So, sticking with tradition, I’m going to pick Ciampa to win the championship.

Fit Finlay vs. Michael Elgin
This should be one hard hitting fight. I’m a sucker for these types of matches. I think Finlay should be used as a guy to put over the younger talent. Elgin has been having a breakout year and a victory here for him would be the right step for him.

For the ROH World Tag Team Championships:
[champions] Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team vs. All Night Express

Considering WGTT just one the championships, it would be a quick reign for them to lose the straps to the All-Night Express. However, I don’t think that would be a bad thing in this situation. Lets face it. Haas and Benjamin have become rather stale in the company and having them break off into singles roles could benefit them both. I’m predicting a title change here with the All Night Express prevailing as champs.

For the ROH World Championship: Anything Goes
[champion] Kevin Steen vs. Davey Richards

There is no way that Kevin Steen should lose this match. Yeah, it’s been promoted as Richards last shot at Steen and that could provide for some great emotion. However, Steen is going to have a long run, just as he should. Since Richards has made it clear that in a year or so he will walking away, it makes sense to drop him down the card a little bit. Steen should take care of business and welcome a new challenger for his championship. Don’t expect El Generico to return or anything, though. He is wrestling with Chikara in Syracuse tonight.

Those are my predictions for ROH Best In The World 2012. Feel free to leave your own predictions!
