Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Mean Gene hosts the WWF Update as he continues to support Hulk Hogan to get better from his attack. There is a special video tribute for Hulk Hogan. It’s actually a fine little video that involves Earthquake’s attack and teases the end of Hulk Hogan.
2. The Hart Foundation cut a promo during Demolition’s match. They want to know which two of the Demolition members will defend the titles. Bret Hart is confident they will win their tag titles back against all odds.
3. Earthquake cut a promo on Jim Duggan since they will be working the house show market with Hulk Hogan being out. He asks Duggan how it felt trying to be breath but not being able to do so. When you are in the ring with Earthquake, you always feel pain!
4. WWF World Champion the Ultimate Warrior is the special guest for the Brother Love Show! Love mentions that Rick Rude has beaten Warrior before and will do so again for the WWF World Championship. Warrior says something about poison flowing again and he will have an ultimate power at SummerSlam. Warrior tells Brother Love that he knows nothing about love and credits the fans love for allowing him to be the WWF World Champion. Warrior gets a little girl from the crowd and she ends up doing a cartwheel and a handstand. Okay, that was pointless.
Final Thoughts:
Another mediocre program by the WWF this week. Again, there just wasn’t anything overly great going on. The promo by Warrior wasn’t a good way to promote his weak feud with Rick Rude. Things are just basic as SummerSam is still two months away.
