Yearly Review: WWF May 1992

With the departure of Sid Justice, the WWF switches some stuff around. A new wrestler makes his debut and Big Bossman feels his wrath.

WWF World Championship Scene: (currently held by: Randy Savage)
Flair continued to play mind games with the WWF World Champion when he played a voice mail that he claimed Elizabeth left on his phone. On the message, Elizabeth told Flair that she loved him and was waiting for him at home. This was aired on the May 24th edition of Wrestling Challenge.

They continued to work matches on the house show market with Savage winning the matches by disqualification.

WWF Intercontinental Championship Scene: (currently held by: Bret Hart)
A feud between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels started on television when Bret Hart taunted Michaels on the May 31st edition of Wrestling Challenge by saying that unlike Michaels, he didn’t to pay women to date him.

They also continued to compete on the house show market with Bret Hart coming out the winner each time.

WWF World Tag Team Championship Scene: (currently held by: Money Inc)
Ted DiBiase competed in singles action against Earthquake, which he lost by disqualification when IRS hit both Earthquake and Typhoon with his steel briefcase continuing their feud.

The Natural Disasters would get several title shots on the house show market with the Disasters winning the matches by count-out.

Other Happenings:
– On the May 3rd edition of WWF Wrestling Challenge Repo Man choked Davey Boy Smith out with his rope to set up a feud between the two.

– The Beverly Brothers continued to call the Legion of Doom sissies. They defeated the Bushwhackers on the May 17th edition of Wrestling Challenge and attempted to paint their faces but LOD came out to make the save.

– On the May 24th edition of Wrestling Challenge Papa Shango put a curse on the Ultimate Warrior and claimed to owe Warrior’s soul as a result. On the May 16th edition of Superstars Shango appeared after Warrior had a match and while standing in the aisle way, Warrior clutched his stomach and fell to the floor. Warrior would be helped to the backstage area where he would throw up. The next week on May 23rd, Warrior was being interviewed when a black substance started to drip from his head.

– Rick Martel continued his feud with Tatanka by spraying Arrogance into Tatanka’s eyes on the May 2nd edition of WWF Superstars. Martel would then steal Tatanka’s eagle feathers. The following week, Martel claimed that he would keep the feathers.

– On the May 9th edition of Superstars, the Mountie cost Sgt. Slaughter a match against Ric Flair by using a larger shock stick. As Slaughter was escorted from ringside on a stretcher Mountie taunted him and the crowd.

– Kamala made his return to WWF television on the May 9th edition of Superstars after a 5-year absence from the company.

– Nailz, a former convict who was mistreated by the Big Bossman, made his debut on the May 30th edition of Superstars where he viciously attacked the Big Bossman causing Bossman to be out with injury for a period of time.
