Yearly Review: WWF September 1992
A championship changes hands on Primetime Wrestling. Plus, a curse is what caused Bret Hart to lose the WWF Intercontinental Championship? Apparently that’s what Papa Shango thinks!
WWF World Championship Scene: (currently held by: Randy Savage)
On the September 14th edition of Primetime Wrestling, Ric Flair regained the WWF World Championship by defeating Randy Savage in Hershey, PA. The match saw Savage wrestle with a bad leg and have to fight off interference from both Mr. Perfect and Razor Ramon. Ramon came out during the match and kicked Savage’s bad leg. This would spark a feud between the two men moving forward.
Flair defended the championship on the house show market against mainly the Undertaker, which he would lose by count-out. Ric did defend the championship in Japan against Genichiro Tenryu in a best two out of three falls match. The match ended in a 1-1 draw as the third fall ended in a double count-out. Flair also had defenses against Bret Hart, Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior.

A new champion means there is going to be a new challenger. The man to make it known that he was coming for the championship was the arrogant Shawn Michaels who revealed he was gunning for the champion on the September 28th edition of Primetime Wrestling.
On the house show market, Bulldog was able to retain the title against Repo Man and the Mountie.

During the September 6th edition of Wrestling Challenge former champions Money Inc. were seen waiting backstage looking to hit the Natural Disasters with a steel chair and briefcase to take out the champions. However, officials prevented that from happening.
Also, it was announced during the September 26th edition of WWF Superstars that the Nasty Boys had been named the number one contenders. Jimmy Hart manages both Money Inc. and the Nasty Boys.
On the house show market, the Natural Disasters retained the titles over Money Inc., the Beverly Brothers and the random team of Papa Shango and Skinner.
