World Championship Wrestling presents Saturday Night
From: Madison, WI
1.) Psychosis defeated William Worthy
2.) Billy Kidman defeated Evan Karagias
3.) Prince Iaukea defeated Rick Fuller
4.) Chris Adams defeated Hardbody Harrison
5.) Davey Boy Smith defeated Brian Adams by disqualification
1.) Brian Adams actually gets to cut a promo on Davey Boy Smith using the NWO paid programming video. Adams says that he is going to crawl inside Smith and expose all of his weaknesses. Adams says that nobody knows the power he has.
2.) After Chris Adams won his match with a super kick, Glacier enters from behind and knocks Adams out with a super kick to the back of the head. Glacier says that anyone using his kick will be knocked out cold.
3.) Adams goes right after Smith with right hands and dumps him to the floor to continue with strikes. Smith rams Adams head first into the ring steps a couple of times. They return to the ring where Smith takes Adams over with a hip toss and a running clothesline. Adams spikes Smith with a piledriver to counter a backdrop attempt. Adams locks in a bear hug to control Smith in the middle of the ring. Adams press slams Smith followed by a leg drop for a two count. Adams can’t hit a big boot and Smith drives Adams face first into the canvas. Smith hits a delayed vertical suplex but only gets a near fall on the cover attempt. Adams stops Smith with an atomic drop as Curt Hennig comes out. Smith decks Hennig to avoid Hennig at first but the bell sounds to end the match. After the match, Jim Neidhart runs into the ring to make the save.(*. That was as good as you’d expect it to be. At least they gave the match some hype earlier on to give match a sliver of importance.)
A quick episode that had some decent squash matches and not so great feature match. I continue to be interested in the Glacier/Adams on a C-level show. What’s wrong with me?
