Monday Night Wars: September 18th, 1995

WCW Nitro came out victorious in the first head to head showdown with WWF RAW last week. Interest in a live program that Nitro provided is a much different feel compared to a taped show that RAW produces on a more regular basis. RAW rarely provided two feature matches, but they did that last week with Ramon vs. Bulldog and Sid vs. Michaels. That wasn’t enough to surpass Nitro, which featured Luger vs. Hogan in the main event.

Nitro is coming off of Fall Brawl that happened the night prior and saw Hulk Hogan lead his team to victory in War Games, but then was attacked by the Giant. Arn Anderson defeated Ric Flair in a classic encounter at the event, as well. Will that lead to increase interest in Nitro this week? Meanwhile on RAW, Razor Ramon will square off against 1-2-3 Kid as Kid looks to be respected by his friend. Plus, WWF Tag Team Champions Owen Hart & Yokozuna battle Men on a Mission. Lets see how they format the shows in this intense competition.
