Matches:
1.)Peter Avalon defeated Joey Ryan
2.)Rasche Brown defeated Manimal
3.)Brandon Parker & Todd Chandler defeated The Tribe by disqualification
4.)NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce defeated Colt Cabana to retain the title

Angle Developments/Notes:
1 .Joey Ryan had a match with Peter Avalon but before he can even reach the ring, Kaos comes out and attacks Ryan. Kaos rams Ryan head first into the ring post and just leaves. The match with Avalon will still happen for Joey. Obviously, Avalon gets the early control of the match hitting a snap suplex for a near fall. Avalon delivers a slingshot knee drop but Ryan continues to kick out at two. Avalon hits a spin kick but Ryan kicks out again. I’m actually surprised that Avalon is getting this much offense, even with Ryan being previously beaten up. Ryan nails Peter with a superkick! Ryan drives Avalon down to the mat with a spinebuster and takes Avalon out with a suicide dive on the floor! Kaos comes back out while the referee is distracted and Ryan is sent into the ring post again! Avalon covers Ryan and wins the match. That is a ridiculous upset! (**1/2. I liked the match. Avalon had been presented as a jobber and I’m hoping this match is the beginning of big things for Avalon, who is an entertaining character in the company. A nice, surprise opening to the show this week.) After the match, Kaos says that he and Avalon will be taking respect from the guys in the company and that it all starts with Joey Ryan. They are bringing Hollywood to the NWA.

2. Rasche Brown is interviewed after his squash match. Brown says that he just provided entertaining sport instead of sport entertainment. He says that pain is coming!

3. The Tribe loses their match in under thirty seconds after sending Parker over the top to the floor. They are just destroying the young team and even shove the referee. They tease scalping Chandler but referees come down and prevent that from happening.

4. This is the biggest main event in NWA Hollywood history. Colt opens the match with a series of jabs and a backdrop. Cabana hits a head scissors and monkey flips Pearce out of the corner. Pearce has yet to get any offense going until he pokes Cabana in the eyes. Cabana kicks Pearce off the apron and the champ crashes to the floor. Colt gets a near fall after a top rope elbow drop back in the ring. Pearce is able to pull Colt to the floor through the middle rope. Colt battles back with right hands but Pearce hangs onto the ropes and locks in a camel clutch. Pearce blocked an elbow strike and kicks Cabana to the floor after a few elbow strikes. Colt avoids being splashed with water and he hammers away on Pearce on the floor. Colt comes off the top to hit a crossbody! Cabana splashes Adam in the corner and hits a clothesline for a close two count. Pearce kicks out after a running butt splash by Colt. Cabana comes off the top and hits a moonsault but Adam kicks out! Colt locks in the Billy Goats Curse in the middle of the ring! Pearce shoves the referee while in the hold and grabs championship. Cabana ducks under and rolls Pearce up but only gets a near fall. Pearce low blows Cabana and plants him with the piledriver for the win! (**1/4. A decent match, but I thought it was rather disappointing. It’s been a feud that has been promoted quite a bit as of late and it just felt rather flat until the last two minutes or so. I was glad to see a pinfall decision, though.)

Final Thoughts:
I enjoyed the show this week. The opening segment was the best of them all and got the show off on a good note. I’m totally buying into Rasche Brown as a force in NWA Hollywood. He is doing a great job in that role. Again, the main event was decent but not as good as I was hoping. Luckily, the show was a good one overall and wasn’t dependent on the main event saving it.

Thanks for reading.
