Matches:
1.) SMW Beat the Champ TV Champion Tim Horner defeated Dixie Dynamite to retain the title
2.) Rock N’ Roll Express defeated Jeff Daniels & Len Fields
3.) Tracy Smothers defeated Larry Santo
4.) Crash The Terminator fought Miguel Perez to a double disqualification

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Two fan favorites square off for the TV Championship. Early on, neither Horner or Dynamite can get a clear advantage. Dynamite takes Horner over with a quick arm drag and continues to wrench on the arm. Horner keeps control on Dynamite with a headlock on the canvas. Dixie does a clean break in the corner and they go back to trading offense on the mat. Dynamite scoop slams Horner and they stare at each other until Horner nearly wins with a rollup. Dixie works over Horner in the corner with several right hands and a backdrop. Dixie takes Horner over with a backslide but only gets a near fall. Horner gets a two count with an inside cradle. Horner rolls Dixie up out of the corner and gets the three count. (*1/4. The match didn’t do much for me as it was far too basic. They teased some tension, which was interesting, but neither one of them is going to turn heel at this point.)

2.) Rock N’ Roll Express come down with a man under a sheet who appears to be their mystery partner for the Bluegrass Brawl event in April. After their easy victory, they head over to the announcers table where Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton and the Heavenly Bodies are standing for a confrontation. Cornette doesn’t believe that the Express have someone for their team at Bluegrass Brawl. The heels head over to the man with a sheet over him and Cornette pokes the mystery man. Cornette gets cocky kicking the man and poking him some more. Cornette tosses the sheet off and it is ARN ANDERSON! Anderson hammers away on Eaton and backdrops his former friend on the floor. The crowd went nuts for that one! Morton told Cornette that he had a mystery partner. Anderson says he is sure the fans are shocked that he wasn’t out forever due to his knee injury. Arn says he doesn’t really like his partner and they don’t like him but he asked for them to fight as partners as they did as foes. Anderson claims that Eaton never visited him for the knee injury and instead joined forces with Cornette. Anderson can’t stand Stan Lane and Cornette. Anderson is going to beat loyalty out of Bobby Eaton. The only fault the Express have is that they have a heart while his is on vacation. Anderson tells the fans to see them while you can because you may never see them team again. That was a great debut, segment and promo by Anderson.

3.) Down & Dirty this week is with SMW Heavyweight Champion Dirty White Boy and Ron Wright. White Boy and Wright are covered in New York Yankees gear. White Boy is bragging about spending time in New York City. He mocks how Southern people talk. Dutch Mantel talks about how Ron Wright got out of the wheelchair and asks if he is healed. Wright denies that claim and had suffered a lot of emotional distress. Wright says he blacked out and when he came back he saw White Boy with the championship. Ron has something in a bag and it is a Tennessee chain for a chain match. Wright has been looking for a man to pass the chain along to and he is passing the chain to Dirty White Boy to compete in chain matches. White Boy challenges Tracy Smothers to a chain match on April 2nd at Bluegrass Brawl!

4.) Bob Caudle enters the ring with the Confederate flag as Smothers has several young fans with him. Caudle hands Smothers the new flag and he appreciates the gesture. Tracy says this is probably the best thing he has ever done for him. Smothers says this proves the South is never dead. Tracy knows he has a chain match against White Boy but has never been in that type of match before. Tracy is going to see White Boy in Pikeville on April 2nd.

5.) We see footage from New Orleans where Kevin Sullivan nearly blinded Chris Adams after ramming Adams face first into a steel chair. The announcers are hyping this up as if Adams had his eye popped out.

6.) Bob Armstrong is out to tell us the Russian Roulette match between Kevin Sullivan and Brian Lee. Armstrong says that Lee will roll the dice and the number will match with a list of matches. Armstrong goes on to describe the matches with included an inferno match. The match will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 21st. Kevin Sullivan wants to make sure the bill for his therapist is paid on time. Armstrong says that he might not need to pay the bill anymore on March 21st. Kevin proceeds to ramble about the match and assures us that Brian Lee is going to taken care of in Knoxville.

7.) Victor Quinones comes out to talk about Kevin Sullivan. Victor says that Sullivan has been doing all the madness all over the world. We will see an international match now to see guys who could possibly take out Sullivan.

8.) Crash the Terminator is better known as Hugh Morrus or Bill Demott. This is the United States debut of Miguel Perez, who would compete in the WWF four years later. Perez dropkicks Crash and gets control of the arm in the early moments. Perez has a lot of body hair, even putting me to shame on that. Perez comes off the top to his an arm drag but is stopped by Crash with a middle rope clothesline for a two count. Crash gets a near fall following a snap power slam. Crash press slams Perez, but we don’t see the move instead a closeup of a fan. Crash misses a top rope moonsault as Kevin Sullivan is on commentary. Perez knocks Crash to the floor with a dropkick and a handspring moonsault over the top to the floor! Sullivan and The Nightstalker come down and attack both men to cause the double disqualification. (*1/2. There were a few decent spots in the match, but this wasn’t intended to mean anything.)

9.) The Stud Stable are out to cut a promo to end the program. Robert Fuller has all sorts of problems but he is happy to know they finally have the match they have wanted for a long time. Fuller is going to slap Arn Anderson and he is going to the hospital!

Final Thoughts:
The best part of the show was the Anderson debut and the whole segment as it was done very nicely. Arn Anderson being involved with SMW, even for the short-term, is only good things for the company. The wrestling wasn’t all that great this week, sadly. I’m sold on a seeing a chain match between White Boy and Smothers, as well.

Thanks for reading.
