Date:
3/27/1993
From: Sevierville, TN

Matches:
1.) Robert Fuller & Jimmy Golden defeated Reno Riggins & Lynn Fields
2.) Brian Lee defeated Larry Santo
3.) Tracy Smothers defeated Jeff Daniels
4.) Bobby Eaton defeated SMW Beat the Champ TV Champion Tim Horner to win the title

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) The Stud Stable is interviewed by Bob Caudle after their victory. Jimmy Golden says the last time he was in Kentucky it would be his last, but he will be back one more time for the street fight against the Heavenly Bodies and the Rock N’ Roll Express with Arn Anderson. Robert Fuller chimes in and says his mother wants him to kill somebody else in Kentucky and not himself in the match.

2.) We see footage from Knoxville where Sullivan and Lee had their match which was a golden spike match as there was a box in each corner. WCW would do a similar gimmick in 2000. Sullivan looked in a box, but it wasn’t in there. So, the spike is in the last box. The Nightstalker comes down to ringside but Tim Horner enters as well to take care of Nightstalker. A new wrestler slides into the ring and opens the box to put the spike in a different box. The new wrestler is the Tazmaniac. Lee looks in the box but the spike isn’t there. Sullivan has the other spike and can’t hit Lee with it. Lee hits Sullivan with the spike but is stopped with a fireball! Sullivan uses the spike on Lee and won the match.

3.) Brian Lee is interviewed and he has a return match with Sullivan in Pikeville at Bluegrass Brawl. Lee wants the match with Sullivan and wants to take Kevin to the depths of hell where he belongs. Lee is going to blow Kevin’s head right off his shoulders.

4.) SMW Heavyweight Champion Dirty White Boy is in the woods with his chain around his neck and has a gun in hand. White Boy is training for the chain match on April 2nd. He has a couple of things that remind him of Tracy Smothers including a melon and a sack of flour. White Boy tells Smothers to look real close to the chain as he describes what he can do with it at Bluegrass Brawl. White Boy insults the Southern fans saying they have nothing but dirt on them. The promo continues with White Boy using the chain to bust open the flour and melon. He grabs a pineapple and whips that along with a beer bottle. White Boy is going to shove the chain right down his throat and says all Smothers has to do is show up.

5.) Dirty White Boy attacks Smothers from behind right after the pin fall and beats the crap out of Smothers with the chain. White Boy chokes Smothers with the chain until several good guys leave the backstage area to make the save.

6.) Bob Caudle conducts an interview with Tracy Smothers. Smothers says that White Boy is just like a Yankee to jump somebody else from behind. Smothers is going to jack White Boy’s jaw and he is going to kick some ass.

7.) Down & Dirty this week has Dutch Mantel on location to check out the therapy session for Kevin Sullivan. The area they are at is the ring on the apron with the lights out. Sullivan says he is the master of the universe. Sullivan says that Smoky Mountain Wrestling has tried to hinder him and says that people are following him. They are mindless and faceless people. Sullivan will be wrestling Brian Lee in a series of matches. They will be wrestling blindfolded which is a favorite match of Sullivan since he likes darkness. Sullivan loves the stretcher match because there isn’t a referee and the only way to win is to put your opponent on the stretcher. Sullivan also hypes up the golden spike match and he knows which box the spike would be in. Kevin laughs at Brian Lee having a choice in beating him and laughs to end the segment.

8.) Bob Armstrong is with Arn Anderson and the Rock N’ Roll Express for an interview. Armstrong hypes the the Bluegrass Brawl and the elimination street fight match. Morton says this combination doesn’t care what it takes and they will be the winning team. Anderson has always said there are safety in numbers. Anderson has a cramp in his hand with signify the Four Horsemen. Anderson says he has hurt his partners in the past. Gibson seemingly stays as far away from the microphone as possible.

9.) Eaton takes Horner down to the canvas with a side headlock to get the early advantage. Horner takes Eaton down to the mat to control Eaton with a hammerlock. Eaton gets up to work over Horner with strikes. Eaton puts a Boston Crab on Horner looking for a submission but Horner counters and puts the hold on Eaton. Bobby is able to reach the bottom rope to break the hold. Horner hip tosses Eaton out of the corner and takes Eaton over with a head scissors. Horner locks in the figure four leg lock but Eaton isn’t going to give in as Cornette nails Horner with his tennis racket to break the hold. Cornette nails Horner with the tennis racket over the head as the referee was out of position and Eaton rolls Horner up for the victory. (*1/4. A quick match and the action wasn’t all that spectacular. The addition of the title on Eaton in the top heel faction is a fine decision, I suppose.)

10.) Bob Caudle interviews Jim Cornette and the Heavenly Bodies for an interview. Tom Pritchard yanks his belt back because Bobby Eaton is a champion on his own. Lane gives his belt to Eaton. Cornette says that their opponents keep on running their mouths. Cornette says they are going to get the Stud Stable and Rock N’ Roll Express out of their lives. They are going to take care of Arn Anderson as well. In a humorous moment Lane steals the check from Eaton, who want sit back and Lane gives it back.

Final Thoughts:
A very good go-home show to hype up the Bluegrass Brawl. They did a fine job promoting the Lee/Sullivan match which will hopefully be the end of the feud and the heavyweight title match has been booked rather well. The tension between the Heavenly Bodies is entertaining and seems to be teasing a turn for Pritchard, but we’l see about that. The next show is Bluegrass Brawl.

Thanks for reading.
