11/11/2004
From: Orlando, FL

Matches:

1.)NWA-TNA World Tag Team Champions 3LK defeated Team Canada in a flag match
2.)AJ Styles defeated Abyss in a Tables Match
3.)Puppet defeated Tom Arnold
4.)NWA-TNA X-Division Champion Petey Williams defeated Jerrelle Clarke, Shark Boy, Michael Shane and Sonjay Dutt
5.)Bryan Cox & Monty Brown defeated The Naturals
6.)NWA-TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett defeated Jeff Hardy in a steel cage match to retain the title.

Angle Developments/Notes:

1. Roddy Piper comes out to open the show with Pipers Pit with Chris Rose. Rose comes over wearing a robe and makes sure to tell the world that wrestling is fake. Johnny Fairplay dances his way down to the ring and neither man knows why he is here. Fairplay threatens Rose to leave the ring or he will make him leave! Rose is confident that he will beat Fairplay up tonight. These two are going to have a match, are you kidding me? Um, Piper attacks Fairplay and Rose scoop slams Fairplay. That is confusing since Fairplay was basically supporting Piper.

2. Backstage, Leanne interviews Team Canada regarding their match with 3LK. Scott D’Amore says that John Salley associated himself with the wrong group of guys. D’Amore says he will smack Salley around in the ring.

3. Konnan powerbombs Young out of the corner while BG hammers away on Roode with jabs. This is apparently a flag match. Young misses a double axe handle and accidentally hits Roode instead of BG! Konnan hits a face buster on Young but Roode nails Konnan with a lariat. Konnan delivers a rolling thunder lariat on Young, but Konnan is pulled to the floor and worked over by Young. Scott D’Amore tries to grab a flag but John Salley tosses a basketball at D’Amore and BG grabs the flag to win the match. (*. This was just a ridiculous match.)

4. Styles opens the match with a few kicks and right hands to work over Abyss. Styles hits a nice hurricanrana and goes for a monkey flip but Abyss counters with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Styles takes Abyss out with a somersault dive over the top on the floor! Styles follows up with a springboard 450 splash! Abyss drives Styles down to the canvas with a Black Hole Slam! Styles is put on the top rope as Abyss sets a table up. Styles counters the suplex attempt and sends Abyss through the table with a sunset flip powerbomb! (**. Considering the fact they didn’t get a lot of time, they did a good job fitting as much as they could in it. I just wish they could get some more time, oh well.)

5. Teo comes out to attack Puppet and help Arnold in the match. Teo hit a 619 and a moonsault off the top to give Arnold the win. That was just crap.

6. Williams and Dutt kick off the five way match. Dutt delivers a backbreaker early on and a double stomp followed by a senton splash for a near fall. Clarke enters and has an awkward exchange with Petey before hitting an overhead belly to belly suplex. Shane tags in and Clarke takes him over with an arm drag. Clarke rolls through a sunset flip to dropkick Shane. Shark Boy tags in and drives an elbow down into Shane’s arm from the middle rope. Williams enters but is bitten on the butt by Shark Boy, who does the same to Shane. Shark Boy goes to the floor and bites Traci Brooks on the butt as well. Shane drives Shark down to the mat with a powerbomb! Clarke and Dutt hit Shane and Shark Boy with springboard elbow drops. Williams drives Shark Boy down to the mat chest first for a near fall. Dutt hits an ace crusher on the champ but runs into a superkick from Shane. Clarke hits a twisting ace crusher on Shane and goes for the 630 but Williams catches him. Shark Boy sunset flip powerbombs Williams who suplexs Clarke off the top rope. Shark Boy clotheslines Shane to the floor and hits a slingshot crossbody. Dutt takes them both out with a somersault dive on the floor. Clarke misses a handspring moonsault and Williams hits the Canadian Destroyer to win the match. (***. Well, I’ll consider that the best match out of both nights so far. They kept a good fast pace and did some nice spots. Plus, anytime you are able to see the Canadian Destroyer it’s a good thing.)

7. To the shock of no one, Bryan Cox picks Monty Brown to be his tag team partner. Actually, it surprises Mike Tenay even though Cox came out to Brown’s music. Brown backdrops Douglas early on and hits a double under-hook overhead suplex. Cox tags in after Stevens is tagged in. Cox clotheslines both Natural members and has the figure four on Douglas. Stevens saves his partner behind the referees back. Cox powerslams Stevens and Douglas. Brown tosses Douglas over with a fall away slam and hits Stevens with the Pounce. Cox covers Stevens although he isn’t the legal man. (DUD. Whatever. This was just a typical celebrity match.)

8. Backstage, Lex Luger is interviewed. Luger is there to promote the steel cage match. Luger wants to talk about himself and he takes off his jersey to showcase his body. Luger plays to the camera to end the segment.

9. Hardy sends Jarrett into the side of the cage a couple of times but Jarrett quickly leaves the cage. I guess you can only win this one by pin or submission. Hardy sends Jarrett over the railing into the crowd. They are battling into the crowd with Hardy hammering away on the champ. Hardy jumps off a wall to clothesline Jarrett! Back from a commercial, Hardy hits drives both legs into Jarrett but is stopped by a knee lift from Jarrett. Jarrett sends Hardy into the side of the cage to gain the advantage. Jarrett is choking Hardy and has a chain it appears. The referee stops that from happening and Hardy hammers away on Jarrett. Hardy misses the Whisper In The Wind. Jarrett locks in the figure four! Hardy manages to reverse the hold but the champ gets to the ropes. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate but Jarrett gets his foot on the bottom rope! Jarrett goes for the Stroke but Hardy avoids it but Jarrett hits it on a second try for a two count! They are both on the top rope where Hardy rams Jarrett into the cage and the champ falls down. Hardy hits the Swanton Bomb but Hardy doesn’t go for the cover. Hardy hits a Flatliner and the referee is knocked down. Hardy climbs to the top of the cage but misses the Swanton Bomb! Jarrett has the chain and nails Hardy with it. Jarrett covers and wins the match. (**. A decent match to close the show, but like most the match they seemed to rush a lot of the match with the lack of time.) After the match, AJ Styles hits Jarrett with a forearm from the top of the cage and sends Jarrett into the side of the cage. Jarrett escapes the cage and Styles attacks him on the floor to close the show.

Final Thoughts:
It was similar to the first night of the specials. There wasn’t a lot of focus on the in-ring action and the guys from the Best Damn Sports Show were pretty bad in their role of playing host. At least there was one quality match on this night to make night two the better night of the specials. Still, it wasn’t overly entertaining. So, I’d give it a thumbs down too.

Thanks for reading.
