7.) Hugh Morrus defeated Frankie Lancaster
8.) Disco Inferno defeated Brad Armstrong
9.) John Nord & Barry Darsow defeated Disorderly Conduct
10.) WCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page defeated Curt Hennig by disqualification to retain the title

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Mean Gene talked to Steve McMichael backstage after a few squash matches had happened. Mongo talks about his match with Goldberg at Starrcade. He thinks that Goldberg was scared so he had to bring a table into their match. Mongo say it’s not over with Goldberg. Mongo agrees that Goldberg was out of control and he just needs to be patient while in the ring with Goldberg to win.

2.) Mean Gene interviewed WCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page regarding his match with Curt Hennig tonight. Page says it has been a great year for him and he got lucky at Starrcade. He thinks skill means when skill meets opportunity. He says nobody believed him that he would be champion. Page knows Hennig well and knows that he is better than Hennig. Page suggests that Hennig will feel the diamond cutter instead of regaining the WCW United States Championship.

3.) Hennig stomps away on Page as the champ rolls in. They begin to trade blows with Hennig working over Page’s ribs. Hennig sends Page to the floor and they continue to brawl with Curt sending Page into the railing. Hennig kicks Page in the ribs and continues to focus his attack on the ribs with stomps. Curt hammers away on DDP’s ribs until DDP fights back with a right hand. Hennig drives his knee into DDP’s ribs maintaining control of the match. DDP hits a swinging neck breaker on Hennig but can’t follow up on the advantage. Page comes off the ropes and walks into a forearm strike. DDP almost wins with a rollup but Hennig locks in a sleeper hold only for Page to break the hold with a jaw breaker. Page hits a discus clothesline and pancakes Hennig. DDP signals for the diamond cutter but Vincent enters to cause a DQ but gets a diamond cutter. DDP leaves the ring and celebrates with the belt. (*. Obviously not what they are capable of doing in the ring. As basic of a match as you could possibly do.)

Final Thoughts:
The squash matches weren’t bad by any means but the feature match left a lot to be desired. A tag team of Nord and Darsow just makes WCW feel old while WWF is seemingly getting younger and younger by comparison. An average show this week.
