4.)Meng defeated Don Harris
5.)Kronik defeated Totally Buff by disqualification
6.)Sid Vicious defeated WCW World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner via disqualification

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.Backstage, Shane Douglas has hired the Natural Born Thrillers to assist him later on tonight.

2.The opening bout saw Reno help out his buddies Palumbo and O’Haire to victory over the team of Vito and Kwee. Reno attacked Johnny the Bull with the Roll of the Dice when he arrived and O’Haire hit the Seanton Bomb on Wee to win the match. After the match, Reno laid Vito out with the Roll of the Dice.

3.Backstage, Mean Gene talks to Shane Douglas who will be teaming with Mark Jindrak and Shawn Stasiak to compete in a six man tag match against the MIA. We also see the MIA backstage as Morrus is told by LeRoux and Wall that they aren’t cleared to wrestle.

4.In a solid tag team match, Lance Storm and Elix Skipper were able to get some small level of revenge against the Filthy Animals. Mysterio attempted a springboard hurricanrana but Storm was able to counter the move and forced him to give up to the Maple Leaf for the victory.

5.Backstage, LeRoux and Wall are attacked by the Natural Born Thrillers and aren’t allowed to compete as a result. Don’t worry, though. Morrus ends up getting Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash to be his partners for tonight!

6.Backstage, Scott Steiner attacks his challenger later tonight, Sid.

7.As you can probably imagine, Douglas’s plan to knock Morrus out didn’t go the way he had wanted. Morrus was able to avoid a chain shot from Douglas and proceeded to hit a power slam to get the win over the man he will meet at Sin.

8.Backstage, Mike Sanders that his guys will take care of DDP and Nash at Sin and has a bombshell for The Cat at Sin.

9.You can classify this under the “what the hell” category. Meng overcame a late match switch by the Harris Brothers and pinned Don Harris after a back suplex. After the match, Kwee-Wee ran out but was met with an H-Bomb. Meng puts the Tongan Death Grip on both Ron and Don Harris.

10.The Cat shares his thoughts about his match with Mike Sanders at WCW Sin. Cat just says he is going to beat Sanders at Sin. Mike Sanders shows up and decides to tell us that Miss Jones is his assistant now and she will also be on the line at Sin.

11.Goldberg tried to get his hands on Totally Buff before the pay per view, but ended up missing a spear attempt on Bagwell and hit Adams with it instead resulting in the disqualification.

12.They have a Starrcade rematch for a Thunder. I just find that to be rather amusing to me. Early on, Sid is hit with a pipe by Midajah and Steiner controlled Sid with a belly to belly suplex. Steiner avoids a choke slam attempt by kicking Sid in the groin. Sid is able to plant Steiner with a DDT after the champ dropped his head too low. Late in the match, Sid ducks a clothesline and choke slams the champ for a two count. Sid goes for the power bomb, but the mystery man runs out and attacks Sid to cause the disqualification. After the match, Sid is able to fight off both men and it’s revealed that Jeff Jarrett dressed up in the mystery man gear. To close the show, Ric Flair appears on the ramp way with the REAL mystery man. Which, is still a mystery. Buy the pay per view!

Final Thoughts:
Thunder is one of the most difficult shows to watch, especially in 2001. The only good part of the show was the tag team match with the Filthy Animals and Team Canada. At least there wasn’t a long winded promo to take up fifteen minutes of the show, I guess. Anyway, this was just a bad overall show as the final show into the Sin pay per view.

Thanks for reading.
