Matches:

2.) WCW United States Tag Team Champions Dick Slater & Greg Valentine defeated Tom Zenk & Brian Pillman
3.) The Barbarian defeated Marcus Alexander Bagwell
4.) Johnny B. Badd defeated Pat Rose
5.) Ricky Steamboat & Barry Windham defeated WCW Television Champion Steve Austin & Cactus Jack

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Jesse Ventura interviewed Dustin Rhodes regarding Greg Valentine and his comments about Dustin recently. Dustin sets the record straight saying that Valentine should settle his beef with him in a WCW ring. Dustin knows how to take care of himself and wants Valentine in the ring.

2.) Jesse Ventura conducted an interview with WCW United States Champion Rick Rude and Madusa. Rude says the Nikita Koloff attacked Madusa in the name of freedom. Koloff has also refused offers to join the Dangerous Alliance due to freedom. Rude says that Koloff dreams quite a bit to think that he will win the WCW United States Championship. Rude says that the reality is that Koloff is in for a rude awakening.

3.) Steamboat and Jack kick off the main event. Steamboat works over Jack with several strikes but Jack quickly takes Ricky to the canvas for a brief advantage. Jack tackles Steamboat and hammers away on him but misses an elbow drop. Steamboat kicks Cactus and they go to the floor where they trade strikes but Austin and Windham come over for a brawl. All four men are in the ring where Austin and Jack are sent into each other and they bail to the floor. Austin tags in and so does Windham. Austin gets control with several right hands and puts a bear hug on Barry but Windham counters with a belly to belly suplex. After a commercial, Steamboat is working over Austin. Windham enters and hits a hammerlock scoop slam before tagging Ricky back into the bout. Austin scoop slams Steamboat and Jack enters to continue his beating on Steamboat. Ricky chops Jack several times but is met with an elbow strike.

Cactus works over Steamboat with several jabs and distracts the referee to allow Austin to choke Steamboat over the middle rope. Jack hits a vertical suplex but Steamboat powers out at two. Austin tags in and but misses a right hand and Windham gets the hot tag. Windham backdrops Austin and knocks Jack off the apron. Jack knee lifts Windham in the lower back and tags in to jab Barry several times. Windham and Jack collide in the middle of the ring with a double clothesline. Windham surprises Austin with an inside cradle and gets the win. (*1/2. Yeah, not nearly as good as I was hoping for. Jack looked odd in there with three exceptional in-ring workers as he wasn’t able to do any hardcore stuff or over the top brawling spots. I was expecting more focus on Steamboat/Jack, too.)

Final Thoughts:
The feature match was a disappointment this week, but I’m fairly certain that no matter what they do with Rick Rude, you are guaranteed that it’s going to be entertaining.
