Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Bill Watts explains why the mats at ringside have been removed so that the action remains in the ring. He says that this is the real deal and not cartoon. He took away the top rope move but doesn’t exactly explain that.

2.) Jesse Ventura conducted an interview with Terry Gordy and Steve Williams. Ventura puts over Gordy and Williams for coming in and beating the Steiner Brothers. Gordy says their upcoming match with the Steiner Brothers is going to be for real and they are coming for the tag titles. Williams says they know the pain it is going to take in order to prevail.

3.) Jesse Ventura conducted an interview with Ron Simmons. Simmons says anything he has accomplished he has earned it. He is going to prove to the people that he is capable of holding the WCW World Championship. Ron says it doesn’t matter who he faces in the ring because he has one mindset and that is to be the best.

4.) Austin takes Pillman down to the canvas doesn’t followup on the advantage. Austin knocks Pillman off his feet with an elbow strike and delivers several blows to the neck of Pillman. Pillman head scissors Austin followed by a dropkick and nearly wins with a victory roll. Pillman again almost pins Austin with a rollup. Austin sends Pillman head first into the corner but Brian monkey flips Austin. Austin stops Pillman with an electric chair slam to get momentum in his favor. Austin hits a swinging neck breaker for a two count. Austin knee drops the neck of Pillman several times as the fans try to get behind Pillman. Pillman chops Austin but is stopped by a kick to the chest. Pillman gets out of a sleeper hold but Austin hits a power slam for a two count. Austin uses the ropes for leverage on a sleeper hold but Pillman refuses to stay down. Pillman hits a springboard back elbow out of the corner but misses a middle rope dropkick. Austin nearly pins Pillman with a rollup and a handful of tights. Austin hits a vertical suplex but misses a middle rope clothesline. Pillman backdrops Austin and soon connects with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Pillman knocks Austin down with a spinning heel kick to the back of Austin’s head. Austin sends Pillman through the middle rope to the floor. Austin catches Pillman on a slingshot attempt and hits the Stun Gun for the win. (***. That was a lot of fun with a red hot crowd that was totally into Pillman. Makes me wonder why Pillman wasn’t used more in such a baby face role at the time.)

5.) Jesse Ventura interviews Ricky Steamboat and Barry Windham. Steamboat says that Cactus Jack is a hired gun and will have a settle to score with Cactus Jack next week. Windham will be teaming with Steamboat to take on Steve Austin and Cactus Jack. Windham is confident he can take care of business against Steve Austin at any time.

Final Thoughts:
Quite a few new interviews to setup some feuds and character development and a fun Pillman/Austin title match. This was a lot of fun.
