From: Liberty, NY

Matches:

2.) Henry Godwinn defeated Mike Moraldo
3.) Aldo Montoya defeated Tony DeVito
4.) Tatanka & Bam-Bam Bigelow defeated Chris Kanyon & Nick Barbary
5.) Kwang defeated Chris Avery
6.) WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon defeated Rich Myers

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Jim Ross has made his return to the WWF after a hiatus for the second half of 1994. Ross and Todd Pettengill are on commentary. It’s always weird to hear Pettengill on commentary.

2.) Bulldog starts the match shoulder blocking Bundy to the mat for the early advantage. Bundy stops Bulldog with a back elbow but misses an elbow drop. Bulldog hammers away on Bundy, but Bundy blocks a slam with an overhand strike. Bundy tosses Bulldog through the ropes to the floor. Bundy clubs on Bulldog on the apron and taunts the crowd. Bulldog crawls into the ring from the apron and tries for a slam, but Bundy lands on top for a two count as we go to commercial. Bundy has kept control with a sleeper hold. Bulldog comes off the ropes and is met with a knee strike. Bundy keeps the advantage in the corner by choking Bulldog for several moments. Bulldog avoids Bundy in the corner and is able to deliver a scoop slam. Bulldog crashes to the floor and is holding his right knee in pain. The referee checks on Bulldog to see what’s going on. Ted DiBiase is demanding Bulldog get back into the ring. However, the referee has announced the match has come to an end. Thus, King Kong Bundy has won the match. (*. Well, it’s not a very exciting match. I kind of get the vibe that Bulldog is going to be the major sympathy character going into the Royal Rumble. Bundy’s style leaves a lot to be desired in ’95 WWF.)

3.) Kama vignette is shown. Kama is an MMA fighter and he’s considered one of the toughest fighters. He’s coming soon to the WWF.

4.) Bret Hart feels great leading into the Royal Rumble event. Hart is glad that Diesel is giving him a shot in a singles match. They will find out who is the best. Bret says that Owen is the first person on his hit list. Bret will be back on RAW this coming week. WWF World Champion Diesel also shared some comments. Diesel wants to play a little game called name association. Diesel plays association with Bret’s name. Diesel is trying to be funny, but it’s not going very well. The ending sees Diesel telling Bret that he’s not the World Champion, but Diesel is.

5.) After Kwang’s victory, Harvey Wippleman takes the microphone and tells Howard Finkel that he’s not good enough to make announcements. Wippleman is confident that Kwang will win the 1995 Royal Rumble. These two are wrestling in a tuxedo match on RAW tomorrow night.

6.) Ray Rougeau interviews Jeff Jarrett, who has the Roadie with by his side. Jarrett has been spending a lot of time in Las Vegas recently. Jarrett says that Las Vegas appreciates the talent that he possesses. Rougeau asks if Las Vegas is where Jarrett picked up the Roadie. Jarrett’s not going to talk about that and says Roadie gets everything he needs. Jarrett is out here to talk about WWF Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon. Jarrett gets a title shot at the 1995 Royal Rumble. Jarrett says there is one thing missing from his tour and that is the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Jarrett is going to humiliate Ramon at the pay per view and win the championship. Jarrett thinks everyone will be chanting his name at the end of the pay per view. Jarrett loves the sound of him being the new WWF Intercontinental Champion.

Final Thoughts:
The Diesel promo was easily the worst promo I’ve seen in quite some time. The way Diesel came across was awful and not the intimidating force that he should be presented as being. There were a few decent segments to promote the Royal Rumble, but this was rather lackluster and uninteresting for the most part.

Thanks for reading.
