From: Rochester, NY

Matches:

2.)The Undertaker defeated Mario Mancini
3.)Jim Duggan defeated Barry Hardy
4.)Power & Glory defeated Ron Cumberledge & Rick Sampson
5.)Mr. Perfect defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Texas Tornado to win the title
6.)Shane Douglas defeated the Black Demon

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. A vignette promoting a new wrestler is aired. A man is looking for directions to the US. The Mountie is on a horse and tells the man he isn’t a tour guide. Mountie says the butt side of the horse points towards the USA! “Even if you are American, the Mountie always gets his man.” Mountie is played by Jacques Rougeau.

2. Ted DiBiase comes down to the ring and is the special ring announcer for the championship match after paying Howard Finkel off. Perfect arm drags Tornado to start the match and follows up with a scoop slam. Tornado slams Perfect and clotheslines the challenger over the top to the floor! Tornado sends Perfect into Bobby Heenan on the floor! Tornado wrenches on Perfect’s arm briefly. Tornado nails Perfect with a spinning punch to Perfect’s midsection. Perfect big boots a charging Tornado in the corner. Tornado misses a spear in the corner and hits the ring post. DiBiase cheap shots Tornado with a right hand. Perfect dropkicks Tornado to the floor where DiBiase sends Tornado into the ring post! Tornado sends Perfect into the referee who was standing in the corner. Tornado nails Perfect with a discus punch but the referee is out. DiBiase nails the champ with the championship! DiBiase wakes Perfect up and Perfect hits the Perfect Plex! The referee wakes up and counts the three! (**. A fine little match and it’s great to see Perfect win the championship back. Plus, this is a great way to continue the feud between Tornado and DiBiase. DiBiase did a great job here. A nice segment by everyone involved.)

3. We see footage from a house show, I believe it’s from the Boston Garden where Hulk Hogan was viciously beaten by Dino Bravo and Earthquake. Quake and Bravo delivered several elbow drops on a helpless Hogan. Tugboat came out with a chair to scare the heels away from the ring.

Final Thoughts:
A decent episode this week that featured a rare title change on television. I’m actually looking forward to see how the DiBiase/Tornado feud plays out over the next several weeks. The Mountie vignette was rather dumb and didn’t seem to be written too well. A thumbs in the middle for this one.

Thanks for reading.
