12/17/1994
From: Poughkeepsie, NY

Matches:

2.)IRS defeated Phil Apollo
3.)Adam Bomb defeated Tony DeVito
4.)Henry Godwinn defeated An unknown
5.)The British Bulldog defeated An unknown

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Tatanka and Bigelow hammer away on Mabel and Mo prior to the bell to get the cheap advantage to kick off the show. Mo is sent to the floor by Tatanka leaving Mabel in the ring with Bigelow with legally start the bout. Mabel knocks Tatanka off his feet with a big shoulder block. Tatanka tries a dropkick a couple of time but that doesn’t work and is met with a clothesline for his trouble. M.O.M work over Bigelow with Mo coming off the top to hit a double axe handle. Should be just a matter of time before Mo gets dominated. Bigelow pokes Mo in the face but Mo avoids Tatanka from the top and hits a clothesline. What is with all the offense for Mo!? Mo hits a snap powerslam for a near fall. Tatanka is having his left shoulder worked over for several moments. Tatanka is able to hammer away on Mo across the back and Bigelow tags in to beat over Mo. Mo is able to come back with right hands after Bigelow tried to knock Mabel off the apron but failed. Tatanka scoop slams Mo but missed an elbow drop. Mabel tags in and soon hits a snap suplex on Bigelow. Bigelow actually connects with a snap suplex of his own! Mo and Tatanka get tags when the big men go to the floor after a double shoulder block. Mo gets the momentum with a clothesline and a hip toss. Tatanka quickly hits the Samoan Drop and pins him with one finger to win the match. (**1/2. A decent tag match to kick off the tournament. I feel like Men on a Mission should have gotten a better run in the tournament since they were over. But, they never really got the chance. Also, I was surprised to see Mo get some offense and do an alright job with the chance.)

2. This is the debut of Henry Godwinn on Superstars. In case you didn’t know, Henry is a pig farmer. His finishing move is the Slop Drop, which is a reverse DDT.

3. Shawn Michaels is back with the Heartbreak Hotel and says that everything at the hotel can be replaced. That’s a reference to Diesel. Shawn’s guest this week is Jeff Jarrett. He has the Roadie by his side. Jarrett says it’s an honor to be on the show and gives Michaels his CD. Jarrett is going straight to the top. Jarrett says the man next to him is his personal roadie. Essentially, he is his lackey. Jarrett is on the hunt for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Jarrett makes a promise that he is going to take the championship away from Razor Ramon! Jeff thinks that Jack Tunney will have to change the name of the promotion to JJF! Jarrett teases that he will sing, but decides against it.

Final Thoughts:
A good feature match and a refreshing talking segment to establish Jeff Jarrett as a threat to the championship. It’s good to see Jarrett given a serious angle to work with. A good overall episode of Superstars this week.

Thanks for reading.
