WWF Superstars 6/10/1995

Written by: Bob Colling

World Wrestling Federation presents Superstars
Date:
6/10/1995
From: Danbury, CT

Matches:
1.) Psycho Sid & Tatanka defeated John Crystal & Cory Doe
2.) Hakushi defeated David Haskins by count-out
3.) Razor Ramon defeated Bill Payne
4.) Kama defeated Buck Quartermaine
5.) The Smoking Gunns defeated Iron Mike Sharpe & Duane Gill
6.) Jerry Lawler defeated Aldo Montoya

Angle Developments/Notes:
1. WWF World Champion Diesel shows off the injured right elbow after Sid’s tag match. Diesel expected a scope but more had to be done. He will be ready for KOTR no matter what. He says that Tatanka and Sid will have their hands full.

2. A vignette promoting the debut of Waylon Mercy is aired. Mercy is standing on rocks by the water. Mercy has a rock in his hand and tells us that when he throws the rock into the water, it sinks and creates ripples. Waylon is going to create a great big wave when he comes to the WWF.

3. Lawler attacks Montoya before the bell to get the cheap advantage. Aldo comes off the ropes and is met with a backdrop. Aldo blocks a second attempt with a right hand and Lawler bails to the floor. On the floor, Lawler begs off but manages to kick Aldo but punches the ring post and Aldo sends King face first into the post! Aldo goes for a splash after a slam but Lawler gets his knees up to block it. King plants Montoya with a DDT but doesn’t go for a cover. As Lawler beats Aldo he taunts Bret Hart during the beating. Aldo fights back with a backdrop but on a second backdrop attempt Lawler hits a piledriver and wins the match. (*. A rare clean win for Lawler. This is the example of what a basic wrestling match is all about.) After the match, Lawler takes off his boot to reveal his dirty foot and wants Aldo to kiss his foot. Montoya gets his face rubbed into Lawler’s foot.

Final Thoughts:
The actual injury angle involving Sid/Diesel gives them more of a reason to have a rematch. The show this week provided nothing of entertainment.
