Once again, any action the action shown on this weeks episode was seen at Freedom Fight 2000. They showed the match between Wildside TV Champion Eddie Golden and Jesse Taylor. Golden retained after Taylor won the match, but by disqualification.
Wildside TV Champion Eddie Golden and Jeff G. Bailey cut a promo outside. Bailey says that Golden proved once again why he’s the Television Champion and Golden has a new nickname “24 Kt.” Bailey warns Taylor that it’s not over between them because Taylor wanted to put his hands on Bailey. Bailey warns the next time they meet Golden is going to be out to hurt Taylor and not just beat him. Bailey promises Taylor will be leaving the building on a stretcher. Golden says this is about blood and not about the title anymore. Golden wants Taylor crying for mercy. Golden declares he’s the man and Taylor is a student. Golden holds his back in pain prompting Bailey to demand the camera be cut.
Backstage, a new wrestler named Cham-Pain cuts a promo. He says it is all pain and no gain when they’re in the ring. He says he’s a former exotic dancer who has turned his g-string in for the wrestling ring. Pain considers himself the baddest man to step into the ring. Pain rambles a bit and says he’s back in Wildside. He must have been in Wildside before the TV run that started in 1999, because I’ve never seen him before.
The next match shown from Freedom Fight 2000 is Wildside United States Champion Terry Knight battling Romeo Bliss. Bliss ended up winning the match following a cutter, but it was a non-title match. It also features Jeff G. Bailey cutting a promo on Lazz, which is rather vulgar.
Backstage, Romeo Bliss cuts a promo. Bliss asks if Bailey knows what he has done by bruising his ribs. Bliss is mad about being injured and now he can’t enjoy the seven women he had lined up. Bliss suggests Bailey needs to pull some more strings to beat him. Bliss promises he’s going to shove his boot far up Bailey’s ass.
The final match they show is the Wildside Tag Team Champions Bad Attitude taking on the NWA Georgia Tag Team Champions the New South. Bad Attitude ended up pinning Ashley Hudson to win both tag titles. Actually, they don’t even show the completion of the match and note that the match can be seen on home video. That’s an interesting approach.
Final Thoughts:
Obviously, this is just a recap episode which tends to be the case for Wildside coming out of their supercards. I’m just the type of person who reviews everything (usually) and I’m not sure if I would have seen the Cham-Pain promo otherwise.
Thanks for reading.
