TNA Against All Odds 2012 Predictions!

Tomorrow night, Total Non-Stop Action returns to pay per view with Against All Odds taking place live from Orlando, FL. As of late Impact has been rather good, mainly because the show has been on the road and the hot crowd in England really helped the program. Their first pay per view of the year, Genesis, didn’t deliver a good show. Hopefully things will be different this time around. Here are my predictions for Against All Odds 2012.

Number One Contenders Match For The X-Division Championship:
Zema Ion vs. Jesse Sorensen

I think both guys have been growing on me, but Ion is the better wrestler right now. Even though he is better, I don’t think he is the guy to win this one. It seems like TNA has high hopes for Sorensen and I think he will get a singles title match at the next pay per view. These two will also probably be involved at Lockdown if TNA does the usual Escape match featuring several X-Division talents. Anyway, Sorensen wins here.

For the TNA Knockouts Championship:
[champion] Gail Kim vs. Tara

Kim as a heel has been kind of entertaining as she has a new spark to wrestling it seems. I would’ve gone ahead and said that Kim wins here, but I’m thinking Mickie James is going to be turning heel soon and that could possibly call for Tara to win the championship here. I’m going to go with my gut and say that Tara walks out with the gold.

For the TNA X-Division Championship:
[champion] Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley

The battle between former members of Generation Next! Wait, that’s the wrong promotion. This should be a good match and it’s really Aries first real challenger that could take the belt away from him. That being said, Aries should retain here as it will be the biggest win of his title run thus far. Plus, with the win he would then have another match with Jesse Sorensen, and those two already have a story together and that could continue to grow.

For the TNA World Tag Team Championships:
[champions] Matt Morgan & Crimson vs. Samoa Joe & Magnus

It’s just a matter of time before Morgan and Crimson breakup. I’m thinking these two will have a match at Lockdown. Otherwise, I don’t understand putting Crimson in a tag match to take away from his singles momentum he had going for himself. The tag team of Joe and Magnus has been one of the better things on TNA television as of late. Magnus is a great talker and Joe backs up the team by being a badass. I’m thinking the titles change hands here.

Grudge Match:
AJ Styles vs. Kazarian

I don’t think the writers have any idea what Daniels has over Kazarian’s head. I can’t even think of anything that would warrant Kaz becoming a servant for Daniels. This is a rather tough match to call for me. I’m going to predict that Styles takes advantage of some kind of distraction or mis-communication between Kaz and Daniels to win the match.

Gunner vs. Garrett Bischoff
Ugh, the thought of Garrett Bischoff being involved in essentially the co-main event of the pay per view makes me sick to my stomach. You know there is no way he is losing this match since Hogan gave him his word of approval and has been training him. Garrett prevails her and the rise of Gunner takes one giant leap backwards.

For the TNA World Championship: Fatal Four Way
[champion] Bobby Roode vs. Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy vs. James Storm

This has been a rather good angle, in my opinion. Roode thought he had Ray on his side, but that clearly isn’t the case. This will be more of a every man for themselves type of match. I don’t think Storm has a chance to win here, and the same can be said for Bully Ray. I’m convinced that at Lockdown we will get a Roode vs. Hardy match. So, I’m picking Roode to steal a win yet again and pins Storm.

So, those are my predictions for Against All Odds. If you wish, feel free to leave your own predictions for the event.
