WWE Money In The Bank 2012 Predictions!

World Wrestling Entertainment returns to pay per view with Money In The Bank tomorrow night at 8pm ET. On the show, we will have two men walk out with briefcases to get a title shot whenever they want. So, here is the card and my predictions for the event.

For the WWE World Tag Team Championships:
[champions] R Truth & Kofi Kingston vs. Hunico & Camacho

I would have thought that the Prime Time Players would have gotten a pay per view title match before Hunico and Camacho, but oh well. I don’t see a title change happening here. Truth and Kingston retain the titles.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match: WWE World Championship Contract
Dolph Ziggler vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian vs. WWE United States Champion Santino Marella vs. Tensai vs. Damien Sandow vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes

I really wish they would take two of these guys out and put them in the other MITB match. This is going to be crowded and probably will see people get lost in the shuffle. Realistically, there is only one person in the match who probably doesn’t stand a chance. I’m thinking Cara is not going to be in contention here. That leaves seven other guys. Tyson Kidd is apparently going to be getting a push (about time) and should be given the chance to make a splash. But, he isn’t going to win either. WWE United States Champion Santino Marella will most likely be the underdog favorite since he has had great showings in the Rumble and Elimination Chamber earlier in the year. But, he will come up short as well. Dolph Ziggler is my personal wish to win the match, but he needed more momentum going into the match to make that realistic. The same can be said for Cody Rhodes. Ever since he lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship he hasn’t been properly used by the WWE, in my opinion. So, that leaves us with Tensai, WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian and Damien Sandow. Tensai is being repackaged and this would be a good way to jump start his push, again. However, there are better options. Christian will surely provide for some nice spots and may be the runner-up but he will fall short. That leaves my pick to win it, Damien Sandow. He has developed a great heel character and I’ve been big on him back when he was Aaron “The Idol” Stevens. Sandow uses his intelligence to prevail here.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match: WWE Championship Contract
Big Show vs. Kane vs. Chris Jericho vs. John Cena

On paper, this could be the worst looking MITB ladder match. Kane and Show will prevent any kind of big spots from happening and it would appear to be rather obvious that John Cena is going to win this one. Lets face it, it’s the only thing that Cena has never won. Considering he is their top guy, he needs to win here and probably main event SummerSlam. This shouldn’t be any kind of surprise.

For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship:
[champion] Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio has been getting more violent and is starting to be an interesting character. I still don’t think Sheamus is in any danger in losing the championship. It will probably be a hard fought contest, but Sheamus dominance as champion needs to continue through the summer, at least.

For the WWE Championship: AJ is the special referee
[champion] CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan

I’ve enjoyed the angle between these three for the past several months. AJ has played her role very well and the match between Punk and Bryan is going to be a classic, as usual. I’m going to base my prediction off of what I have heard the plan is for SummerSlam. Sadly, it doesn’t involve Daniel Bryan but rather a rematch between Punk and Cena. That leaves me to believe that AJ is going to screw over Bryan in the match and allow Punk to retain the championship.

Those are my predictions for the event. Feel free to share your own predictions!

Thanks for reading.
