5/2/1992
From: Atlanta, GA

Matches:
1.) Dustin Rhodes defeated Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker
2.) Ron Simmons & Junkyard Dog defeated Diamond Dalas Page & Ricky Morton
3.) Johnny B. Badd defeated Joe Cruz
4.) Big Van Vader defeated Ronnie Edgewood
5.) WCW World Tag Team Champion Arn Anderson defeated Big Josh in a best two out of three falls

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Big Josh cuts a promo about his match with Arn Anderson where he put over Anderson but said he was going to chop him down. Anderson cut one of his own and said he was going to show him why a tractor out pulls a moose every time.

2.) Jason Hervey is a special host alongside Jim Ross. Hervey brags a little bit about getting more money for Wonder Years and having dinner with Ted Turner. He comes across like a complete douche to me.

3.) Barry Windham comes out to be interviewed by Jim Ross and Jason Hervey. Barry says that Dustin Rhodes as his tag partner is one of the best that he had ever had in his career. Jim Ross brings up WCW Television Champion Steve Austin and asks if Windham is looking to become champion. Windham tries to answer the question but a fan is being quite loud and the cameras focus on it making it evident that it is staged. Windham leaves the set and goes into the crowd to confront the fan. The fan covers his face but Barry realizes it is Paul E. Dangerously who soon runs away to end the segment.

4.) Jesse Ventura interviewed Paul E. Dangerously and Madusa recently. Ventura puts over Dangerously and talks about having to deal with Ricky Steamboat. Ventura believes that Steamboat has been sexually harassing Madusa. Dangerously calls Steamboat a pervert and tells him to stay away from Madusa. Madusa acts distressed over the situation saying she doesn’t want Ricky Steamboat. As she speaks, the lights go out and music begins to play. A light begins to flicker and Ricky Steamboat appears with a fire torch and spits fire much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Dangerously runs away and Madusa begins to scream telling the “woman beater” to leave her alone.

5.) WCW United States Champion Rick Rude and Madusa shared some comments. Madusa is in fear and says that Steamboat has been sending her letters and whatnot. Rude says that Ricky is going to lust over her compared to his own wife. Rude tells Ricky to try and pick someone else up because Madusa is his woman.

6.) There was a press conference for the WCW/NWA World Tag Team Championship tournament. They go over the top eight seeds. The tournament will be taking place at the Great American Bash. They just go over the guys competing in the tournament.

7.) Josh tosses Anderson away while in a headlock and Anderson looks confused while sitting on the canvas. Arn bails to the floor to regroup with Dangerously. Arn misses a big boot early on and Josh hits a sit down splash but Anderson bails to the floor to avoid being pinned. Josh kicks Arn down on the floor from the ring and they trade shots. Josh counters a piledriver attempt on the floor with a backdrop and sends Arn back into the ring. Josh continues to work over the lower back of Arn with strikes and jumps down across the back several times. Anderson knee lifts Josh but Josh counters a suplex with one of his own for a near fall. Arn drops Josh with a back elbow while in the ropes to get the cheap advantage. Josh locks in a bear hug right in the middle of the ring and rams Arn back first into the corner. Josh atomic drops Anderson and turns Arn over for a Boston Crab but Dangerously rakes Josh’s eyes while the referee was distracted.

Josh nearly wins by countering a vertical suplex and landed on top of Arn for a near fall. Anderson hammers away on Josh in the corner and attempts a piledriver but Josh counters. Arn is able to roll Josh up and uses the ropes for leverage to win the first fall to go up 1-0. Josh hits a gut wrench suplex but Anderson manages to kick out before three. Josh hits a back suplex but doesn’t quickly followup on the advantage. Josh has an abdominal stretch on Anderson looking for a submission but Arn gets out with a hip toss. They go to the floor where Josh misses a clothesline and hits the ring post. Arn works over Josh’s offense wrapping his arm around the ring post. Arn sends Josh shoulder first into the ring post again and Arn rips his shirt off. Arn drops Josh throat first across the top rope. Josh fights back with chops after having his arm worked over for several moments. Arn trips Josh to go right back to working over the shoulder.

Arn plants Josh with a single arm DDT and goes back to a hammerlock on the injured arm. Anderson scoop slams Josh and drops a knee on the shoulder for a two count. Josh ducks a clothesline but they collide heads and both men are down following an atomic drop on Anderson. Arn leaps off the middle rope but is met with another atomic drop. Josh rolls Anderson up and uses the tights for extra leverage to tie the match at 1-1.

Josh is backed into a corner and gets worked over again but fights back with a sleeper hold. Arn gets out of the hold and puts one on Josh but Josh drops down with a jaw breaker to break the hold. Josh has the cover but only gets a one count. Anderson leaps off the middle rope but Josh gets his boot up to drop Anderson. Josh delivers a sit down splash but Anderson reaches the ropes on a cover attempt. Josh takes Arn over with a double under hook slam and locks in a camel clutch. Josh blocks a knee drop moments later and puts the figure four on Arn! Josh puts a Boston Crab on Anderson but isn’t getting a submission. Josh runs over Anderson with a clothesline but only gets a two count on the cover as Arn powers out sending Josh to the floor. Josh nearly wins with a sunset flip from the apron into the ring but Anderson kicked out before three. They collide again in the middle of the ring. Anderson ducks a clothesline and hits the spine buster to win the match. (**. I have no idea why this pretty much went a half hour. Anderson is in the top faction and probably should have had a more convincing and easier victory over a lesser ranked babyface. There were a few decent moments, but it went far too long.)

8.) Next week, WCW Television Champion Steve Austin defends against Barry Windham in a best two out of three falls match.

Final Thoughts:
The issues between Ricky Steamboat and Rick Rude continue to be advanced very well on television. The Madsua part adds depth to the issues, as if they really needed it. The show was average at best, but that main event went on for far too long.
