Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Lee Marshall interviews Chris Benoit and Woman backstage regarding Spring Stampede. Benoit puts over Dean Malenko for one of the toughest matches he has ever been in and blames Kevin Sullivan for ruining the match. Benoit says their issues have turned into a slow bleed and says that Sullivan isn’t going to win. Woman says this is heartbreaking issue and would vote for Sullivan if he didn’t know him so well. They keep mentioning “him” but not revealing who the man in question is.

2.) Regal and Eaton are former tag partners as they had formed the teamed Blue Bloods from 1995 to 1996. Regal spiked Eaton with a piledriver and locked in the Regal Stretch to win the match. Regal puts the Regal Stretch on a second time on the floor and the referee ends up reversing his decision giving the match to Eaton.

3.) Lee Marshall interviews the WCW United States Champion Dean Malenko. Marshall asks Malenko about who the “he” is and Malenko decides against answering that question. Malenko puts over Benoit for their match at Spring Stampede. Malenko says that Benoit has earned his respect and a rematch is welcomed at any time. Marshall is determined to find out who “he” is.

4.) Lee Marshall interviews The Giant backstage. Giant talks about tagging in Lex Luger at Spring Stampede to earn a shot at Hogan. Giant says that he has been close to Luger and witnessed how hard he trains. Giant says he has a conscience and that’s to repay a favor. Giant says that Luger extended a hand to him and that met everything to him. He passed the chance of a lifetime to Luger and considers it a loan. Giant believes that Luger is the next man to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and that Giant is a future champion. Giant knows that Luger will give him that shot down the road.

5.) Chris Benoit comes out during Kevin Sullivan’s match allowing Hardbody Harrison to get some offense in. Benoit runs into the ring when Sullivan turns his back and leaves before the Dungeon enters the ring. Sadly, Harrison has to absorb a top rope splash from Jacqueline.

Final Thoughts:
There wasn’t much going on here but there was heavy focus on the Sullivan/Benoit feud and whomever this “he” guy is for their feud. The squash matches didn’t standout or anything so it felt like just an hour of lower mid card guys wrestling and wasn’t overly interesting.

Thanks for reading.
