Arn tries for a sunset flip, but Rhodes drops to his knees and hammers away on Rhodes. Arn misses a wild strike and falls to the mat. Rhodes comes off the ropes to deliver a forearm drop. Arn boots Rhodes in the corner and delivers a few strikes to drop Rhodes to the mat. Arn continues to beat on Rhodes. Arn goes to the top rope, but Dustin stops Arn with strikes and goes for a superplex. Arn holds onto the ropes and leaps off the middle rope only to be met with a clothesline in midair. Arn slams Rhodes arm over the top turnbuckle to get the momentum.

Anderson stomps on Rhodes arm, the same arm that was broken by Arn. Parker beats on Rhodes while the referee is distracted. Arn beats on Rhodes on the apron with more strikes and stomps to the arm. Arn wraps Rhodes over the bottom rope with a hammerlock. Rhodes fights back with strikes, but Anderson hits an arm breaker on the broken arm. Meng enters the ring and savant kicks Rhodes leading to the disqualification. After the match, Ricky Steamboat comes running down and spits fire to scare the heels in the ring. Meng doesn’t backdown from Steamboat. Steamboat is standing over Rhodes making sure nobody gets their hands on Rhodes. (**1/2. A fine TV match with the expected finish since the feud has really just started and a clean finish in their first singles showdown wouldn’t make a lot of sense. They worked a good match and Meng’s involvement makes him look really good.)

Final Thoughts:
An enjoyable episode this week. Meng should be a monster heel once they get him in the ring.

Thanks for reading.
