Matches:
1.) Danny Doring & Roadkill defeated The Dupps (Beau & Jack)
2.) Chris Candido defeated Simon Diamond
3.) Spanish Angel & Tony DeVito defeated Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney
Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Backstage, Rhino cuts a promo saying he’ll gore anyone that gets in his way. They will remember his name… Rhino.
2.) Joey Styles lets us know there was an altercation between Fred Durst and Steve Corino at a recent concert and hopes to have video of it next week on Hardcore TV.
3.) New Jack cuts a promo by the train station. Jack is cussing at the Baldies and wants to know where they are. Jack is coming for Angel specifically. Jack basically says that Angel is going to be his hoe like a guy in prison was.
4.) Roadkill and Beau kickoff the tag match with neither man getting an advantage out of a lockup. Beau kicks Roadkill in the midsection and puts a headlock on Roadkill. Roadkill misses a clothesline but connects with a powerslam. Roadkill sends Beau into the corner and Doring sends Roadkill into the corner to deliver a splash. Doring plants Beau with the Bareback. Jack enters and is met with a double elbow strike. Roadkill side slams Jack and they play to the crowd. Doring hammers away on Jack but gets distracted by Puff Dump. Doring is pulled to the floor and worked over briefly. Jack slams Doring followed by an elbow drop for a two count. Beau tags back in and forearms Doring to the mat with Jack. Beau splashes Doring for a two count and argues with the referee. Doring fires back with right hands, but an eye rake stops him. Doring is choked over the middle rope. Doring is met with a double shoulder block as the Dupps keep control of the contest. Jack stomps on Doring in the corner to maintain control of the contest. Doring hammers away on Jack until a low blow stops him and Jack hits a running powerbomb out of the corner. Jack tries for a cover, but Roadkill made the save.
Doring plants Jack with a modified Fame-Asser and both men are down. Beau and Roadkill get tagged in with Roadkill cleaning house. Roadkill side slams Beau followed by a TKO on Jack. Roadkill goes to the apron and hits a double clothesline off the top rope. Roadkill catches Puff to allow Doring to hit a clothesline. Doring plants Jack with a DDT and Roadkill slams Beau. Doring goes to the top rope and hits a leg drop. Roadkill comes off the top to splash Beau for the clean win. (*1/2. I’m not all that interested in the Dupps, really. I’m liking the presentation of Doring and Roadkill. It feels like 2000 is going to be their breakout year for ECW.)
5.) Nee Jack is on the train and he’s still looking for the Baldies. Jack asks a homeless person if they’ve seen the Baldies, but he continues his search.
6.) Simon Diamond cuts a promo in the ring and has a problem with people judging their alternate lifestyles. Diamond has Dick Hertz pose for the crowd. Diamond makes a dick joke and laughs it off.
7.) Diamond backs Candido into a corner, but cleanly backs away and complains of a hair pull. Diamond shoulder blocks Candido, but Candido comes back with a hip toss. Candido chops Diamond in the corner a few times to maintain control of the match. Diamond eye rakes Candido followed by a boot to the gut and stomps. Diamond hammers away and hits a snap suplex. Diamond holds on and hits a few more followed by a sit out front suplex. Diamond sends Candido hard into the corner and Dick pulls Candido to the floor to deliver a few strikes. Tammy Sytch gets on the apron, but that doesn’t help. Dick drops Candido chest first over the guard railing. Diamond and Dick take a moment to pose for the camera. Tammy crotches Diamond on the top turnbuckle and Candido hits a superplex. Candido climbs to the top rope hitting a diving headbutt for the three count. (*1/2. I guess Diamond isn’t going to be a focus quite yet and they are going to rely on an older act like Candido. I know by early 2000 Candido is gone, so I don’t know how I feel about putting him over a younger act.)
8.) New Jack is still on the train telling the Baldies that they know where he is at looking for them. Jack is sure that they are watching at home wondering when he’s going to show up at their house. Jack insists he’ll be waiting on the 6th train because he knows they have to use the train at some point.
9.) Dawn Marie cuts a promo on Francine saying she knows that Francine wants to be like her, but she doesn’t have an ass. Storm says she does… it’s Tommy Dreamer. Justin Credible has no way to follow that and proceeds to do his catchphrase.
10.) New Jack is still on the train and a worker comes up saying that they are on a different train. Jack sees them and they are taunting him as the train goes off.
11.) New Jack knows that the Baldies don’t want a piece of him. Jack sees DeVito behind him, but Angel attacks Jack from behind with a board to leave Jack laying.
12.) Mahoney jabs Angel several times to start the main event and drops Angel with a right hand. Rotten and Mahoney brawl with the Baldies on the floor and up the aisle. Rotten sends DeVito over the railing into the crowd. Mahoney bites Angel’s forehead on the floor. Rotten sends DeVito over the railing back to the ringside area. Mahoney is pummeling Angel in the crowd with right hands. Rotten jabs DeVito several times and delivers an elbow strike to send DeVito to the apron. Mahoney sends Angel into the guard railing. Mahoney leaps off the apron but hits the railing. DeVito hits Rotten with a chair shot to the back. Rotten continues with a chair shot to the back of DeVito on the floor. Mahoney tries to suplex Angel into the ring, but Skull and Grimes come out and trip Mahoney allowing Angel to win the match. (1/4*. There was nothing going on here other than a brawl.) After the match, New Jack makes his predictable appearance to make the save. Jack uses a variety of weapons to beat on the Baldies. Jack uses a staple gun on Angel. Eventually, Jack dives off the balcony onto DeVito through a table.
Final Thoughts:
The main focus here was promoting the Jack/Baldies feud, which isn’t all that intriguing or interesting to me. Thus, this is probably a skippable week of TV.
Thanks for reading.
