From: Richmond, VA

Matches:
1.) Mikey Whipwreck defeated CW Anderson
2.) Simon Diamond defeated Jazz

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Backstage, Tommy Dreamer is trying to talk to Raven, but Raven isn’t interested and Dreamer walks off. Raven is watching a static television.

2.) Lou E. Dangerously is in the ring with CW Anderson to cut a promo. Dangerously says that he hates Paul E. Dangerously and insists this is not a tribute to him. Lou thinks that Paul E. Is as useless as a woman from Virginia. Lou introduces the new Dangerous Alliance, which consists of CW Anderson, the enforcer.

3.) Joey Styles talks about how Mikey Whipwreck recently attacked Lou E. Dangerously to end the brief working relationship.

4.) Anderson attacks Whipwreck from behind to gain the advantage. Whipwreck head scissors Anderson on the mat after the show returns from a commercial. Lou E. Yanks Mikey off the apron to help out Anderson. Anderson plants Whipwreck with an arm breaker and delivers a few stomps to the arm before locking in a hammerlock for a two count. Anderson slams Whipwreck to the mat followed by a stomp to the shoulder. Anderson decks Whipwreck with a left hand and drops Mikey with a superkick for a two count. Anderson rams Mikey shoulder first into the corner. Anderson tosses Whipwreck off the apron and Mikey hits the railing hard back first. Anderson misses a splash in the corner and sits on the middle rope. Whipwreck hits a reverse DDT for a two count. Whipwreck delivers a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Mikey heads to the top rope hitting a clothesline for a two count. Anderson plants Whipwreck with a spinebuster for a near fall. Lou E. Accidentally hits Anderson with his phone. Whipwreck manages to hit the Whippersnapper for the win. (**. Some decent action here with these two working fairly well together. I was a bit surprised that Whipwreck didn’t do the job for Anderson, but this is likely leading to a PPV match or an extended angle between Mikey and Lou.)

5.) We see footage of a tag match between Lance Storm & Justin Credible and Chris Candido & Rhino. Rhino accidentally speared Candido and Credible was able to superkick Rhino leading to the pin. They will be challenging Raven and Dreamer at Guilty As Charged for the tag titles.

6.) Lance Storm cut a promo in the ring saying they can’t be denied and they are the next tag team champions. Justin Credible is the hardcore icon and that can’t be denied. Sandman’s music plays and the Impact Players are worried. Sandman eventually gets to the ring and drinks some beer. Jason steps up to Sandman, but Sandman finds that humorous and whacks Jason with a kendo stick several times. Credible comes up from behind to hit Sandman from behind with a kendo stick. Storm sets a table up in the corner and Credible whacks Sandman. Credible accidentally hits Storm. Sandman takes Credible down with a side Russian leg sweep. Rhino has returned to the ring and GORES Sandman through the table in the corner!

7.) Backstage, Rhino cuts a promo saying that he told Sandman he doesn’t respect him nor was he ever impressed by what Sandman had done prior. Rhino says he’s starting to lose satisfaction in putting Sandman through a table. Rhino is confident that Sandman is the first of many..

8.) Simon Diamond is in the ring to cut a promo saying that he’s got a problem. Diamond says that Dick Hertz is not with him tonight and says he’s dick-less. Jazz comes out to confront Diamond. Jazz calls Diamond a pussy and slaps Simon. Diamond accepts a match for tonight.

9.) Diamond decks Jazz from behind to get the cheap advantage. Diamond chops Jazz in the corner a few times. Jazz chops Diamond in the corner several times to gain the advantage. Jazz monkey flips Diamond out of the corner followed by a dropkick to send Diamond to the floor. Jazz chops Diamond a few times and sends Diamond into the railing back first. Diamond stomps on Jazz a few times to regain control and hits a sit out spinebuster. Diamond chokes Jazz on the mat and tries for a slam, but Jazz counters. Diamond hits the Simonizer for the win. (*1/2. I’m glad they went with Diamond going over here. Victories like this are only going to help Diamond get over as a heel.)

10.) We see footage from TNN when Spike Dudley laid out ECW World Champion Mike Awesome out with an Acid Drop before leaving the ring.

11.) Backstage, Danny Doring consoles Simon Diamond regarding Diamond losing Dick. Doring notes that he dumped a girl and now has another one. Diamond tells Doring that the women aren’t like them. Diamond sees a guy standing to the left and is intrigued by him. Diamond asks what his name is as the segment ends.

12.) Backstage, Lance Storm cuts a promo about how they’ve been able to backup their claims and it will continue on January 9th. Justin Credible believes that people have followed Raven because he’s got the tag champs. Credible promises to give people a reason to quote the Raven.. nevermore. It’s a rarity that Credible didn’t use his catchphrase.

Final Thoughts:
A lackluster episode for original content as the show seemed to be more of a hype one for the White Plains TV taping. Looks like Spike is going to get destroyed by Awesome for the next title match. GAC card is shaping up decently at this point.

Thanks for reading.
