Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Backstage, Mean Gene interviews WCW Television Champion Arn Anderson. Anderson says that he has never seen the same way that Gene does. Anderson says that Renegade doesn’t have order of priorities. Anderson thinks Renegade is full of chaos as his intensity isn’t regulated. Anderson says that Renegade has the touch of Hulk Hogan, which gives him an edge. Anderson says that he’ll have to be killed to lose the championship at Great American Bash.

2.) Anderson wants to shake hands, but Pillman isn’t interested after asking the fans. Pillman backs Anderson into a corner, but Anderson breaks free and they have a standoff. Pillman gains control with a headlock for a few moments. Anderson works over Pillman in the corner with strikes. Pillman head scissors Anderson out of the corner followed by a dropkick. Pillman goes back to the headlock. Anderson dumps Pillman to the apron and Pillman hit a slingshot crossbody. Pillman goes back to the headlock, but Anderson rolls over for a couple of two counts. Anderson drops Pillman throat first over the top rope in the corner. Anderson catapults Pillman throat first into the bottom rope and chokes Pillman. Pillman chops Anderson trying to fight back, but Anderson eye rakes Pillman followed by a knee lift. Pillman punches Anderson in the midsection, but Anderson responds with a swinging neckbreaker. Pillman atomic drops Anderson, but they collide when Anderson stumbled backward.

Pillman dropkicks Anderson coming off the middle rope for an axe handle. Pillman hammers away on Anderson and keeps control in the corner with strikes. Pillman hip tosses Anderson out of the corner. Pillman hits a flying crossbody, but Anderson rolls on top for a two count. Pillman knee strikes Anderson and hits a middle rope bulldog for a near fall. Pillman head scissors Anderson sending the champ to the floor. Anderson drops Pillman over the ropes throat first and uses the ropes for leverage to win the match. (***. Pillman took full advantage of his chance to shine with some great offense once they got past the headlock stalling. Anderson being the smarter vet and cheating to win doesn’t bother me here. I’m just glad there was a quality match.)

3.) Tony Schiavone interviews Ric Flair and Arn Anderson to end the show. Flair doesn’t think that Randy Savage can rise to the occasion again. Flair says that himself, Anderson and Vader are three of the best going today. Flair talks about punching Randy’s father in the face and breaking his nose. Anderson is interviewed regarding the Renegade. Anderson says they have been doing this for a long time and they do it better than anyone. Flair mentions that he’s the dirtiest player in the game and plays by his own rules. Savage and Renegade live on borrowed time.

Final Thoughts:
A strong main event for Worldwide and getting a couple of promos from top guys makes this an easy thumbs up for Worldwide.
