Kurt laughs and thinks Karen is crawling back to him because Gator Land wasn’t so great. Kurt tells Karen if she listened to him things would be easier. Kurt tells Karen she needs to be reminded that he’s the boss. Kurt knows that he can live without Karen, but Karen wonders if he can afford to. Kurt tells Karen to leave his room.
2.) Booker T makes his way out to cut a promo in the ring. Booker wants to get something off his chest. He’s sick and tired of doing things underhanded. Booker does things face to face. Booker calls out Robert Roode to face him in the ring and take an ass whooping tonight. Robert Roode’s music hits, but it’s Peyton Banks. Booker notes that Banks doesn’t look like Roode. Banks tells Booker that Roode isn’t at the building yet. Banks delivers a personal message and proceeds to slap Booker. Banks yells for Booker to hit her. Instead, Traci Brooks runs into the ring and attacks Banks. Security gets into the ring to stop the fighting.

4.) Backstage, Petey Williams and Scott Steiner are interviewed. Williams doesn’t know what to say because of what Steiner did last week. Williams is thankful for helping him get a title shot at Destination X. Steiner apologizes for the miscommunication, but likes the heart of a lion that Williams has inside him. Steiner has his eye on Williams and if he passes the test then he’s ready for the initiation.

Steiner whacks Dutt with a briefcase from the floor and Williams spikes Dutt with the Canadian Destroyer to win the match. (**. Not too bad of a match as they kept a good pace and the action was solid enough. Steiner working with X-Division guys is something I’ve got to get use to. I thought Williams would have pinned Lethal to setup more interest in the PPV match.)

Curry is double teamed as Reign and Rellik drop Curry over the top rope and drive Curry down to the mat chest first. Shark gets in the ring and hammers away on the monsters. Shark takes Reign down with a Thez Press and delivers a few strikes. Curry has Rellik over the middle rope and does a dance before sending Reign into Rellik in the corner hits a running knee. 15.) A video package highlighting the history of VKM is shown.
16.) Robert Roode makes his way down to the ring to cut a promo with Peyton Banks. Roode says he’s here since Booker T has been looking for him. Roode is sick of Booker stalking him and his idle threats. Roode says the talking is over and the running is over with. Roode calls out Booker to meet him face to face. Roode wants Booker to meet his fist the same fist that has Booker’s skanky wife blood on it. Naturally, Booker comes out and proceeds to attack Roode on the floor. Moore tells Storm to take it one day at a time. Storm warns Moore that she better have a plan for tonight.
19.) Young brawls with Storm on the aisle and sends Storm into the railing. Young slides the ladder into the ring and baseball slides the ladder into Storm. Storm avoids another slide and hits Young with the ladder. Storm pulls the padding up on the floor to expose the floor. Storm tries for a suplex, but Young counters with a suplex on the floor as the show goes to commercial.
Storm kicks Young from the apron and Young falls to the floor. Storm grabs the ladder and rams Young in the face with the ladder. Storm lays the ladder over the railing and apron. Young slides under the ladder, but gets hit with the ladder anyway. Storm rolls into the ring and tries to climb the ladder, but stops. Kong is great and a great dominate heel champion.) After the match, ODB comes out to the aisle with a microphone. ODB says in ten days they are going to find out who the knockout of all knockouts truly is. ODB mocks Kong for being big and bad, but they have nothing on her because she’s ODB. Kurt remains in the ring celebrating the victory as the show comes to an end. (**1/2. A better match than I expected from these two. It’s heavy on story, too, which is fine. This is absolutely heading to an AJ face turn and feuding with Kurt, which is probably the best thing they could do.)
Final Thoughts:
An average episode for Impact. Roode/Booker had a good segment and the main event was decent enough. The show didn’t feel like a drag, which is always a good thing. I’m looking forward to getting past Destination X and get into Lockdown build.
Thanks for reading.
