The comedy bits went on for a little longer than they needed to. Thus, the actual wrestling wasn’t all that long and it was a short match. The fluke nature of the win makes sense considering Lords did not come across anywhere near the level of Castagnoli. This has to be a major upset for the time.)

The best match of the first round and far exceeded my expectations. Reyes looked great in there and they had several great near falls. Reyes has the style that I tend to enjoy and seems to be the forgotten one out of the Rottweilers group.)

Radford misses a double springboard leg drop off the top. Radford hits a Death Valley Driver, but Hentai leaps off the top to double knee Radford and Doe covers Radford to steal the match. (**. It drives me nuts when they make a match no disqualification and the referee enforces rules. I’m not entirely sure why there’d even be tags in this match since there’s no rules to enforce. Luckily, this didn’t overstay it’s welcome and they did a fine enough job to provide entertaining brawling.)

Ki charges towards Doe, but is met with the Black Hole Slam and Abyss pins Ki for the win. (**1/2. This is the one match on the card that I quickly got drawn to. It’s a clash of styles with the drastic size difference. It’s their first match between each other and it’s a decent encounter overall. Ki’s double stomp out of the corner got a big pop from the crowd. The finish was a bit disappointing, but understandable considering the major angle involving the Unholy Alliance running wild in IWC.)

Reyes has stood out as a guy that I’ve probably under appreciated in the past. Lords picking up the win is fine and he’s had two big wins now. This could be a breakout night for Lords to potentially win the tournament. Lords worked better with a guy Reyes size compared to Castagnoli earlier in the night.)

Delirious takes Lords down and locks in a single leg Boston Crab. Delirious pulls Lords to the middle of the ring, but Lords doesn’t give up. Delirious sits down, but Lords passes out instead of giving up. Delirious wins the tournament. (***. It’s a good match and they did good playing into the knee angle. However, I personally hate the angle. I think they should have just had the straight up match and Hentai get involved afterward. I’m especially surprised that they would do this knee angle and then not have Lords prevail in the end. If Lords had prevailed I think the fans would have gone nuts for it. So, it’s a good main event, but potentially a missed opportunity.)

Final Thoughts:
For a show that is just over three hours, I thought this was a good show. There was plenty of quality action throughout the show with a couple of near hidden gems. I left the show wanting to see more of several guys including Lords and Reyes. They setup several matches for the future, as well. A good show by IWC and the Super Indy Tournament continues to produce quality results.
