A video package of Atticus Cougar addressing a letter he had written to Brett Lauderdale, but he switched the letter to Megan Bayne. Cougar is acting as if he’s in love and has been in solitary confinement, but it’s never been real. There’s a production mess-up and the video package starts over again. Cougar is wrestling Effy tonight.
There’s a video package highlighting the 12/31 show called Til Infinity.

A decent match with a good closing sequence. A fairly tame opening bout, but the Daddies clearly have some fun offense and appear to be an over babyface tag team for GCW. Ando and Cloudy are essentially a job team and this was ideally just a matter to get the tag title challengers a moment to shine before their title match in nine days.) After the match, Radrick tells the tag champs they have nine days before they kick their asses. Price grabs the microphone and says he doesn’t want to wait nine days. Rochester doesn’t want to wait nine days either. Price wants the tag title match right now. Naturally, that’s not going to happen. Kevin Ku says they’d like to, but they are contracted to wrestle To Infinity & Beyond so their going to have to wait. After a moment, the tag champs attack Radrick and Price on the stage. Colin Delaney and Cheech run out to make the save and that leads into our next match.

Delaney hits a springboard stunner on Garrini. Ku counters a springboard and the champs hit a running knee/suplex combo to pickup the win. (***. A good match between these two teams. They likely missed out on more drama because of the Hammerstein tag match being set in stone, but regardless this was pretty good. Delaney and Cheech are a ton of fun and they hit their spots very well here. I’d love for them to get a meaningful run in GCW.)
The tag champs grab a microphone with Garrini cutting a promo. Garrini tells the crowd to shut up because he has a microphone. Garrini says in nine days they go back to Hammerstein and how the Daddies want to win the titles. I feel like I’ve heard rave reviews about Akeem, but this was a disappointing outing. I was expecting a much more fast pace match with more high flying and instead they went with quite a bit more mat wrestling based offense. Mathers looked good, but the overall flow of the match didn’t connect well with me. The crowd seemed to be surprisingly more disinterested than I expected, too.)
A video package promoting PCO making his return to GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom is shown.

A bit of a slow match, but it wasn’t an awful encounter. Jimmy had some decent heel work to add some heat on him prior to the match starting. I don’t know how it’s possible that Rhyno looks the same for the past 20+ years.)

Mason made the match with Holliday at Hammerstein inside a steel cage.
Richard Holliday comes out and says he’s changed his mind and he’s not wrestling tonight. If he’s going to wrestle in New York it’s going to be in Manhattan. Mason knee strikes Holliday in the corner followed by a Death Valley Driver. Mason tries to put a plastic bag over Holliday, but Parrow hits a sit down driver on Mason. Holliday grabs a chair and whacks Mason over the back several times. Holliday low blows Mason and hits a twisting suplex. (*. I know that Holliday isn’t a babyface, but Mason certainly didn’t give me babyface vibes. If anything, Parrow would be a babyface in all of this because his husband was attacked for no reason. This seems to be a bit confusing of an angle. Mason doesn’t do anything to keep my interest. Holliday seems like a good heel. Parrow could easily breakaway from Holliday and be a big babyface in the future.)

Cougar didn’t do literally anything to make me care about him or think he’s anything special in the ring. If Effy wins the title in the Hammerstein I guess this victory would make Cougar a viable challenger.)

Drew Parker is a guy I’d like to see more of and Warner comes across as a great heel. The action here flew by and I enjoyed what they put out here.)
Final Thoughts:
Safe to say this is a subpar show overall. I went to GCW’s debut in Rochester back in September 2023 and thought that was a good live show experience. This show lacked entertaining in-ring action. They do a good job explaining stories as to what is going on, but a decent amount of the stories don’t seem to be all that interesting. Recommendation to avoid Sorry Pal.
Thanks for reading.
