Fenix returns to the match as Pentagon stalks Cassidy on the floor. Taylor somersault dives Pentagon from the ring steps. Trent spikes Fenix with the Crunchie (Dudebuster) to win the match. (***1/2. Kind of an unexpected win for the Best Friends, and I’m digging it. If the tag division is presented as a level playing field it will make all the matches feel as if either team can win. That’s going to make for compelling and entertaining TV matches.)

4.) Priestly and Sakura kickoff the match attacking their opponents. Statlander moonsaults off the apron onto Priestly and missile dropkicks Sakura. Shida tags into the match and goes under the ring to grab a steel chair. Sakura sits on the chair, but is kicked out of the chair. Sakura enters and gets a rollup on Statlander to steal the victory. (**1/2. A decent match, but there were a few awkward moments. Sakura stood out to me and her charisma shined well throughout the match. She has a character that could easily become a babyface.)

5.) Backstage, Jon Moxley cuts a promo declaring war to anyone that stands in his way. Mox continues to move forward despite new scars on his body. Mox is napalms death and he will get them eventually. Mox wonders if there is anyone that wants to get him before he gets them. Is there anyone as crazy as him? Mox wonders if there are any heroes, or will they get seriously hurt trying to stop him.

It limits his character upward mobility.)

PAC heads to the top rope, but misses a corkscrew splash. Omega knee strikes PAC, but PAC avoids the One Winged Angel. Omega counters PAC with a cradle and picks up the win. (***1/2. A good TV match, but probably a bit behind the All Out showdown. The cradle finish felt a little flat, but it should set the stage for another match between the two to complete a trilogy.)

10.) MJF shared a pre-tape promo noting how the Dynamite Diamond ring cost $45k. MJF doesn’t think the ring belongs a redneck hick like Adam Page and belongs on someone like himself, who is better than you and knows it.

Page nails MJF with a Buckshot Lariat for a two count as Wardlow put MJF’s boot over the bottom rope. Wardlow decks Page with a right hand over the middle rope. MJF spikes Page with the Cross Rhodes and pins Page to win the match and diamond ring. (**. MJF is absolutely getting a major heel push and I think it is great. MJF is one of the few guys to be truly hated and is a guy fans will want to see get beaten up.)

Jericho waits in the corner, but Sky covers the Judas Effect with a backslide for a two count. Sky tries for a kick, but Jericho counters with the Liontamer in the middle of the ring and Sky is forced to submit. (***. A good match despite it being quite obvious that Jericho was never going to lose the title. I wouldn’t consider this a breakout match by Sky or anything. It’s enjoyable for what it was and these kinds of matches are good to be on TV and attempt to elevate or shed a bigger light on other guys on the roster.)

18.) Jericho puts the Liontamer on Sky again, but Jon Moxley’s music hits and Mox walks down the steps in the crowd. Jericho lets go of the hold and stares at Mox in the crowd. Jericho taunts Mox by holding the title up in the air. Mox remains in the crowd as the show goes off the air.

Final Thoughts:
A good episode of Dynamite this week, which shouldn’t be a surprise. MJF being a focused heel has been entertaining and will continue to be a strong point of the show. Looks like Jericho/Mox is the next top title angle and makes a lot of sense to go in that direction. AEW’s next PPV isn’t until February 2020, so there’s plenty of time to build up to that match.
