One of my favorite things to do is finding new promising talent in the wrestling world. After writing a piece on Ashton Adonis, I came across the profile of Thomas Heim as a suggested profile on instagram. I took some time to find his promo work on YouTube, and instantly found him to be entertaining with a sleazy, cocky character known as ‘Primetime’ Thomas Heim. Maybe I’m a sucker for names that rhyme, but regardless, Heim knows how to cut a promo, and that’s usually the biggest obstacle in wrestling to get noticed.
Heim has been wrestling for less than a year having started to work matches in March of 2025. In that short time, Heim has appeared for OVW on a regular basis up to July of 2025 and also appeared on ROH TV. Heim regularly works for AAW out of Chicago, which has a special place in my fandom as it was one of the first independent promotions I learned about as a kid and I’ve watched many incredible matches out of the Berwyn Eagles Club. Considering AAW’s reputation, Heim working there must solidify his potential.
Trained by Isiah Moore, Heim has always been a wrestling fan, and his first memory was when he was three-years old watching Steve Austin get beaten up by The Rock at a Buffalo Wild Wings with his family. Growing up, Heim became a fan of John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton.
Considering Heim is very early into his career, there aren’t a wide range of matches available on YouTube, but luckily there’s some material to checkout. I’m watching these matches for the first time ever and are my genuine reaction whether it be good, bad or indifferent.

Bob’s Take: The video quality changes to having a glitch at about seven minutes into the ten minute video. I love the crowd atmosphere here. All the promos that I watched of Heim prior to this match had been him using a heel persona. He’s clearly being presented as a babyface here and the crowd was heavily behind him. It’s only the third documented match of Heim’s on Cagematch, and to have a crowd rally behind someone shows the ability to draw into a crowds emotion, and to do so as a babyface is quite the accomplishment. I liked the dynamic of a mentor vs. protege match, as well. They made good use of the ten minutes of action and was a good first step in a potential series of matches.

Heim powerbombs a second person trying to interfere, but a woman is distracting the referee on the apron. Blake nails Heim with the loaded glove and wins the match.
Bob’s Take: Another match with Heim playing the face role, and doing pretty well at it. Blake was good in this match, as well. They avoided having a substantial lull in the match with rest holds, and filled the time with good brawling early in the match on the floor and the in-ring action honestly flew by. The loaded glove gimmick is very old school, but I’m an old school guy and I love it. Making a ten minute match fly by is always a good thing and Heim has been part of two matches in this article. That signals compelling wrestling for me.

A pre-tape promo is included in the video where Heim says if we don’t know, now we should know that he’s Thomas Heim. He’s feeling real nicey and he beat butt sucker Jack Valor in quick succession and nobody is going to stand in his way from getting what he wants.
Bob’s Take: The match is less than three minutes long, but in that short of time I can instantly tell that Heim is a natural heel. He’s such a dirtbag and he gives off some MJF level vibes to me. Heim gives off the energy of the guy from high school who thinks he’s a ladies man, but all the girls talk shit about him, but you also know there’s at least a couple of them that would love the toxic energy. I think quite a bit was accomplished in this video to give a better introduction to who Heim is and how AAW is looking to present him.

2Fine Thomas Heim cut a promo afterwards outside. Heim is going to find Tori Fox and make her feel like all the Berwyn Baddies and make her feel real nicey.
Bob’s Take: Looks like a shift in nickname for Heim closing out 2025, and I like it better than Primetime especially acting as a heel. This was a good showcase match for both guys. Heim looks a lot more comfortable and confident in the ring as a heel. The persona seems to be ideal for him and is worth keeping an eye on heading into 2026 and beyond. I like seeing Heim use moves that he didn’t use in any of the previous matches and especially in the longer form matches. Being a wrestler who isn’t predictable with their offense is a trait I appreciate.
Match Rating: ***
I’m excited for Heim’s career trajectory considering he’s been competing for less than a year. It’s incredible to see the growth in his in-ring confidence from watching a match of his in April compared to a match in December. Heim’s 2Fine persona is a classic sleazy character and easily dislikable. The more success he achieves is going to mean more sleazy. AAW commentary noted that Heim reminds them of Rick Rude, and I can see that in the sense of his self indulgence. I think a good comparison of persona is a tad bit of Rude and a lot of MJF for the more modern fan.
Heim has been part of OVW before, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back there as the 2Fine persona. WWE ID should be knocking on his door as he’s incredibly young, fresh on the scene and is getting better at a rapidly fast pace. Beyond Wrestling should be using Heim for their showcases, as well.
