Footage of Chris Champion turning on Bad Attitude at Hardcore Hell 2000 is shown. The New South won the match to effectively end NCW and allow the NWA to takeover the area. Romeo Bliss got busted open badly on the floor.

Bad Attitude make their way out to be interviewed by Tim Dix to begin the show. David Young is back after dealing with Bill Behrens screwing around. Rick Michaels seems a bit flustered before attempting the promo. Michaels is frustrated by the microphone popping. Michaels says this was supposed to have the NCW banner hanging on the wall and on the apron. Michaels admits that he dropped the ball and he apologizes to everyone for failing to win at Hardcore Hell. Michaels has talked to his wife and mentions he’s been wrestling for eight years and announces his last match was at Hardcore Hell 2000. Michaels has some things he needs to do and his family needs him. Michaels offers a handshake, but Young doesn’t appear pleased. by this announcement. Michaels tells Young that he needs to go because he dropped the ball. Michaels says Behrens won the fight and it’s time to go. Michaels leaves the ring as the fans chant “please don’t go.” Michaels departs the arena quickly and drives off.

Opening Contest: Steve Skyfire vs. Harley Power: Power sends Skyfire into the corner and taunts him. Skyfire hammers away on Power with right hands. Skyfire ducks a clothesline and dropkicks Power before clotheslining Power over the top to the floor. Skyfire dives off the top to hit a crossbody on Power. Power regroups on the floor as Skyfire remains in the ring. Skyfire punches Power coming into the ring. Power rams Skyfire into the corner and leaps pff the top, but is met with a dropkick in midair for a two count. Power side slams Skyfire and chokes Skyfire on the mat. Power strikes Skyfire and chokes Skyfire over the middle rope. Power strikes Skyfire several times in the corner. Power chops Skyfire in the corner. Power tries for a hip toss, but Skyfire counters with a neckbreaker. Skyfire comes off the ropes to deliver an elbow drop for a near fall. Skyfire is dropped by a powerbomb. Rusty Riddle comes out and gets on the apron. Riddle talks to Power and has cash for Power. Riddle replaces Power.

Second Contest: Steve Skyfire vs. Rusty Riddle: Skyfire drops Riddle with a right hand and hits a standing moonsault. Riddle strikes Skyfire and atomic drops Skyfire into the corner. Skyfire sends Riddle into the corner and hits a German suplex for a two count. Skyfire avoids Riddle in the corner and is met with a big boot for a near fall. Riddle knee drops Skyfire and kicks Skyfire several times. Riddle puts a camel clutch on Skyfire, but doesn’t get a submission. Riddle takes Skyfire over with a vertical suplex. Riddle heads to the top rope, but misses a clothesline. Skyfire nails Riddle with a slingshot somersault clothesline for a near fall. Skyfire nails Riddle with a handspring elbow. Skyfire tries for a double under hook, but Riddle bails to the floor. Riddle kicks Skyfire on the floor a few times. Skyfire sends Riddle into the ring post, but misses a clothesline and hits the post. The referee ends up counting both men out as they continue to brawl. Skyfire strikes Riddle on the groin. They brawl to the backstage area. (*. Apparently Skyfire and Riddle are feuding in a promotion that holds shows in Tennessee. Obviously, I don’t know the context, but the action didn’t connect with me. Skyfire is capable of some good stuff, but Riddle seems to be a bit limited.)

Bill Behrens comes out to cut a promo. Behrens has a tennis racket in hand. Behrens is glad to see the fans acknowledging that he’s number one (middle fingers). Behrens announces that the chairman of the board for Georgia will be taking his place when he’s unable to appear. Behrens announces that the New South will return on May 6th at the next TV taping. Behrens talks about Steve Martin being told that he may head to the big stage with a little work. Behrens introduces Chris Cruise to come to the ring. Cruise formerly commentated for WCW. Cruise says he came down from Boston to find out what inbred redneck people looked like. Cruise insults the crowd a bit while praising Behrens. Cruise is here to show Steve Martin what it takes to be a major league commentator. Behrens notes that Bad Attitude were scheduled to wrestle a new team, but now it will be David Young. Behrens insults Rick Michaels for leaving. Behrens introduces.. Jim Cornette to join the segment.

Cornette insults the town of Cornelia and says the people live down the creek from a nuclear plant. Cornette also gets an incest insult to get some cheap heat. Cornette puts over Behrens for having some intelligence. Cornette pokes fun at Steve Martin and mentions the actor. Cornette is here to manage the Cole Twins and confront a couple of thieves. Cornette is pissed at Rich Michaels and David Young for stealing a tag team name, but also stole the Midnight Express music. Cornette says it is nice to see Rick Michaels is a quitter. Cornette says Young may have guts, but he’s got no brains. Cornette believes that David Young’s future is looking dim. Cornette and Behrens embrace and Cornette proceeds to taunt the fans a bit. Behrens calls out Jeff G. Bailey to join the segment.

Jeff G. Bailey joins the segment and Behrens notes that Jesse Taylor got an unfair win at Hardcore Hell and is thus being stripped of the NWA Television Championship and the title is given back to Bailey. Bailey knew that Behrens would do the right thing. Bailey says the crime made children murderers look like a practical joke. Behrens books a match between Jesse Taylor and AJ Styles where the winner wrestles Eddie Golden on May 6th. Tim Dix is bullied by Behrens by not holding the ropes and causing Dix to get hit in the groin before the heels leave the ring.

Romeo Bliss cuts a promo saying that his career isn’t over because of the New South and Behrens. Bliss dismisses Luther Biggs as a guy who can compete on Monday nights. Romeo says he’s a great man, prick and a great lover. Bliss has women screaming at the top of their lungs. They censor Bliss doing some gestures several times.

Second Contest: Romeo Bliss vs. Luther Biggs: They lockup but neither man gets a clear advantage. Bliss gets a rollup for a two count. Bliss knee lifts Biggs against the ropes. Biggs shoulder blocks Bliss and Bliss responds with a shoulder block and an arm drag. Bliss keeps arm control on the mat. Bliss tries for a rollup managing a two count. Bliss keeps arm control and gets another rollup on Biggs for a two count. Bliss manages another two count. Biggs dumps Bliss over the top to the floor. Biggs strikes Bliss in the midsection and nails Bliss with an elbow strike. Biggs elbow drops Bliss for a two count. Biggs chops Bliss in the corner several times. Bliss gets a chop in, but Biggs stops Bliss with an elbow strike and a snap suplex for a near fall. Bliss stops Biggs with a swinging neckbreaker. Bliss collides with Biggs on a clothesline attempt and both men are down. Behrens gets on the apron and almost hits Biggs with a piledriver. Bliss takes advantage hitting a piledriver and pins Biggs. (1/2*. Bigga is not good and to suggest he’s a quality wrestler for Monday night must be a rib and insulting the action typically seen on WCW and WWF.)

Backstage, AJ Styles cuts a promo on Eddie Golden. Styles admits Golden won and says that cheaters win in the business of wrestling sometimes. Styles promises this isn’t over.

David Young cuts a promo in the ring and admits that he usually let Rick Michaels do the talking. Young says that he’s been there since the beginning and how they got a crowd because of Rick Michaels. Young considers Michaels to be like his brother. Young wants the fans to show Rick Michaels how much they need him in NCW. Young believes they can beat the New South. Young wants the fans to chant NCW when he calls Rick Michaels, which he does on his phone. Young wants Michaels to get off the couch and return to the arena. Young believes they will have NCW back in the arena.

David Young vs. The Cole Twins is about to start, but the show runs out of time. Cornette is in the corner with the Cole Twins. The Cole Twins are two jacked dudes.

Final Thoughts:
Not much here action wise, but I’d have to guess that Michaels will return and turn on David Young. I’d give it a month or so before Michaels returns and becomes a top heel for Wildside. It would make sense to go that route. This wasn’t a great episode aside from that angle.
