Outside, Shank is screaming in pain as his arm was slammed in a car door according to Shank. The attack wasn’t shown, but he’s promising that he’s going to kill Timber.

Steve Martin gives a rundown of the show. Steven Prazak is introduced as the newest full-time cohost. Prazak is thrilled to be there. Bill Behrens enters the scene and tells Martin to shave his face. Behrens has decided they need a new host. Behrens introduces Lee Tidwell as the new host of Wildside.

Bill Behrens makes his way down to the ring to cut a promo. Behrens has a new Wildside Junior Heavyweight Championship with him. Behrens taunts the fans for a warm reception. Behrens has a few announcements to make. Behrens has replaced Steve Martin and again introduces Lee Tidwell and Steve Prazak. Behrens reveals that Chris Cruise will not be on Wildside ever again. Behrens announces that Rock ’n’ Roll Express will return on June 17th to defend the tag titles. Behrens talks about Air Paris being the former Junior Heavyweight Champion and he’s been stripped due to not being able to defend the title. There will be a four man tournament to crown a new champion. Behrens says this will be his final address in the NCW Arena because at the next taping on June 3rd he’ll introduce the new COO of NWA Georgia. Behrens says he’s a major promoter and a big name.

Opening Contest: White Trash vs. Big Eddie Cool vs. Mark E. Mark: White Trash comes into the ring with a stop sign and cleans house on Cool and Mark. Trash whacks a trash can over Cool’s back. Big Ron Studd enters the ring and chokeslams White Trash. Studd does the same to Mark and Cool. Studd stands tall. (NR. Studd is incredibly tall compared to the other guys which made this even more impressive. I’d be interested to see Studd actually compete in Wildside.)

Second Contest: Lazz vs. Gemini in a tournament match for the Wildside Junior Heavyweight Championship: Lazz strikes Gemini and plays to the crowd. Lazz slaps Gemini across the face and taunts the crowd again. Lazz clotheslines Gemini, but Gemini kips up and atomic drops Lazz. Gemini crotches Lazz over the top rope and delivers a kick to knock Lazz to the mat. Gemini kicks Lazz, but Lazz responds with a spear. Big Ron Studd comes out again and attacks Lazz delivering a chokeslam as Gemini leaves the ring. The trio from the first match attempt to attack Studd, but they are taken out again. After the match, Mic Tierney comes out and confronts Studd, but they are held apart by officials. (NR. Are we reliving Sid Vicious attacking guys to ruin matches in ’99 that was some of the worst TV?)

Third Contest: Onyx vs. Adam Jacobs in a tournament match for the Wildside Junior Heavyweight Championship: This is considered the finals of the tournament, actually. Jacobs gets headlock control on Onyx to start the match. Onyx sends Jacobs into the ropes, but Jacobs delivers a shoulder block. Jacobs tries for a rollup, but Onyx holds the ropes. Jacobs backdrops Onyx coming off the ropes. Jacobs arm drags on Onyx and Onyx regroups in the corner. Jacobs yanks Onyx down from the apron and goes to the middle rope hitting a tornado DDT. Onyx stomps Jacobs on the mat and sends Jacobs into the corner to deliver a clothesline. Onyx sends Jacobs through the ropes to the floor. Onyx suplexs Jacobs into the ring for a two count. Onyx stomps Jacobs on the mat followed by a scoop slam. Onyx heads to the top rope missing a swanton bomb. Jacobs nails Onyx with a leaping elbow strike. Jacobs pummels Onyx in the corner with right hands. Eddie Golden drops Jacobs over the top turnbuckle. Onyx almost wins following a superkick. Onyx misses a splash in the corner. Jacobs back suplexs Onyx and hits a top rope leg drop, but the referee is distracted. Onyx nails Jacobs with the championship to win the match and title. (**. Jacobs stood out in the match and works the style you’d associate with the title. I’m not surprised Onyx won the title as Bailey’s group is likely going to hold as many titles as they can.)

Backstage, Onyx cuts a promo saying he’s damn good and he’s proud of himself. Jeff G. Bailey chimes in and puts over Adam Jacobs as a good talent, but proceeds to put over Onyx as the new Wildside Junior Heavyweight Champion and doesn’t believe anyone can beat him.

Bad Attitude come out to cut a promo. David Young says he’s a new champion from Mississippi and says it is time for everyone to standup to people like Bill Behrens. Young declares they will not be pushed around anymore and they will keep their pride. Rick Michaels calls Behrens a yankee bastard. Michaels says they are going to take a different route. Michaels says that Behrens can call the promotion NWA, but team NCW are going to take all the titles from the NWA guys. Michaels promises to win the tag titles from Rock ’n’ Roll Express. Michaels will use them as a stepping stone to go after XXX for the NWA Tag Team Championships. Michaels says they will have a different look come the June taping to win the tag titles.

Jeff G. Bailey cuts an in-ring promo putting over AJ Styles as a great athlete who has just thought better to associate with him now. AJ Styles makes his way out and clearly has a much more conceded attitude. Bailey insults JC Dazz and says they’ll send him to the hospital. Bailey also says they are going to send Jorge Estrada back to Tijuana to do donkey shows.

Main Event: AJ Styles & Eddie Golden vs. JC Dazz & Jorge Estrada: Golden and Estrada kickoff the match with Golden controlling the action with a headlock. Estrada counters with a hammerlock, but Golden reaches the ropes to break the hold. Estrada gets wrist lock control followed by strikes. Golden counters with a headlock. Estrada sends Golden into the ropes, but is met with a shoulder block. Estrada backdrops Golden followed by a couple of arm drags and Golden bails to the floor to regroup. Estrada baseball slides Golden followed by a somersault dive to the floor. Estrada rams Golden face first onto the apron and keeps wrist control. Estrada slams Golden and Dazz hits a senton splash off the top for a two count as Styles makes the save. Dazz heel kicks Golden for another two count. Estrada strikes Golden from the middle rope and Golden is met with a double clothesline for a two count. Golden eye rakes Estrada to tag in Styles, but Estrada arm drags Styles. Styles eye pokes Estrada and delivers strikes before hip tossing Estrada across the ring. Styles backdrops Styles coming off the ropes and stomps Estrada. Golden enters the match and continues to work over Estrada. Estrada almost pins Golden after a crossbody. Golden stops Estrada with a clothesline. Estrada is backdropped coming off the ropes. Styles keeps control as the show goes to commercial.

Golden drops Estrada with a neckbreaker and Styles leaps off the top to hit a frog splash on Estrada, but Dazz makes the save. Styles chokes Estrada to prevent a tag to Dazz. Styles stomps Estrada on the mat. Styles puts a dragon sleeper on Estrada and ropes Estrada with a reverse DDT. Styles kicks Estrada to prevent a tag to Dazz, again. Estrada suplexs Styles and both men are down. Golden enters the match and sits on the top turnbuckle to hit a somersault cutter out of the corner. Estrada nearly pins Golden with a rollup but Golden kicks Estrada. They trade rollup attempts until Golden clotheslines Estrada. Golden sends Estrada into the corner to deliver a clothesline. Estrada bulldogs Golden out of the corner. Dazz gets the hot tag and Styles backs off. Styles misses a clothesline and kick. Dazz knee lifts Styles and shoulder blocks Styles. Dazz sends Styles into the ropes, but Styles kicks Dazz. Dazz responds with a kick to drop Styles and gets a two count. They trade several pin attempts. They collide on stereo clothesline attempts. All four men are in the ring at this point. Dazz is backdropped by Golden, but manages to sunset flip Styles and picks up the three count. (**. This is a surprise for Styles to be doing a clean job so soon after turning heel. It’s partially Golden’s fault and I’m getting a vibe that Golden and Styles are going to clash. This is a big win for Dazz, as well. I’m figuring Dazz vs. Styles is the plan for the next supercard for Wildside.)

Final Thoughts:
Not much going on here this week and the focus appears to be next week for the COO reveal. I’m looking forward to Bad Attitude vs. Rock ’n’ Roll Express soon. Some of the booking is a bit baffling as I’d think the heels would have some momentum for an extended period of time and it’s not happening.
