Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Vince McMahon, Jim Duggan, Hillbilly Jim, Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect are on the panel this week. McMahon notes who we’ll be seeing on the program including WWF Intercontinental Champion the British Bulldog and The Mountie via satellite.

2.) Michaels arm drags Ware to start the match and taunts the crowd. Ware elbows Michaels and runs the ropes to deliver a strike. Ware clotheslines Michaels over the top to the floor and Michaels hits the railing. Ware dropkicks Michaels to the floor. Ware plays to the crowd as Michaels is reeling on the floor. Ware and Michaels trade strikes with Ware gaining the advantage in the corner. Ware misses a middle rope crossbody and crashes to the mat. Michaels stomps Ware on the mat several times. Michaels nails Ware with a leaping elbow strike. Michaels dropkicks Ware to maintain the advantage. Michaels rams Ware into the corner face first and jabs Ware several times in the corner. Michaels delivers another elbow strike in the corner. Michaels snapmares Ware and keeps control with a sleeper. Michaels maintains control with a sleeper as Ware struggles to his feet. Ware ducks a clothesline and gets an inside cradle for a two count. Michaels stops Ware with a clothesline. Michaels drives Ware down with a backbreaker. Michaels heads to the top rope and hits a fist drop. Michaels tries for a cover, but Ware kicks out at two. Michaels sends Ware into the corner, but Ware boots Michaels and hits a forearm smash. Ware dropkicks Michaels followed by an atomic drop. Ware sends Michaels into the corner, but misses a splash. Michaels nails Ware with a superkick and wins the match. (**. I thought this was a solid match for TV and it may be the first instance of Michaels winning a match with a superkick. Michaels bumped around a lot of Ware at the start and they held my interest the whole time.)

3.) Skinner won his squash match with a reverse DDT. Monsoon keeps calling it a neckbreaker, which is incorrect.

4.) The panel talks about Kamala being afraid of the casket that belongs to Undertaker. Heenan says that Harvey Wippleman has told Heenan that Kamala isn’t afraid of the casket. McMahon notes that next week they will announce the main event for the Survivor Series PPV. Jameson comes out with a stuffed turkey, but it’s stuffed with various snacks and his inhaler.

5.) This is the debut (return) of Terry Taylor. Taylor hadn’t been in the WWF for two years.

6.) Brunzell avoids a wrist lock at the start of the match, but Taylor takes Brunzell down and is kicked away. Brunzell backs Taylor into a corner, but they trade shoves. Brunzell arm drags Taylor across the ring and they have a standoff. Taylor shoulder blocks Brunzell leading to another standoff. Taylor controls Brunzell with a headlock, but Brunzell arm drags Taylor and keeps arm control. Brunzell leg drops Taylor over the left arm. Brunzell shoulder blocks Taylor for a two count and keeps arm control on the mat. Taylor drops Brunzell with a right hand in the corner. Taylor clotheslines Brunzell in the corner and continues with stomps on the mat. Taylor delivers a jawbreaker and taunts the crowd. Taylor knee drops Brunzell and keeps control with a chin lock. Taylor takes Brunzell down to the mat and chokes Brunzell for a moment. Brunzell tries for a sunset flip and gets a two count after a brief struggle. Brunzell gets an inside cradle for a two count, but Taylor gets up and clotheslines Brunzell. Brunzell uppercuts Taylor followed by strikes in the corner. Brunzell leg sweeps Taylor and locks in a figure four, but Taylor reaches the ropes. Taylor sends Brunzell to the floor. Taylor delivers a swinging neckbreaker for another near fall. Taylor misses a splash in the corner and Brunzell atomic drops Taylor followed by a clap to the head. Brunzell backdrops Taylor followed by a clothesline for a near fall. Brunzell rams Taylor face first onto the top turnbuckle several times. Brunzell dropkicks Taylor for a two count as Taylor reached the ropes. Taylor hits a sit down powerbomb for the win. (*. There is zero mention of Taylor’s previous gimmick as the Red Rooster. Taylor didn’t showcase any sort of personality and the match felt incredibly bland. Brunzell came across as a better option than Taylor during the match. I was not expecting the powerbomb as Taylor’s finish, though.)

7.) Bob Backlund video package highlighting his title win back in 1978 and how winning the WWF World Championship changed his life.

8.) Backstage, Mean Gene is looking for Jimmy Hart and asks Jack Tunney where Jimmy Hart is located. Gene finds a stressed out Jimmy Hart. Gene notes that Money Inc. believe they are the number one contenders. Hart is confident that Money Inc. can win the tag titles. Hart knows that the Nasty Boys can also win the tag titles from Natural Disasters. Hart says Gene is trying to start trouble between his two teams.

9.) The Mountie joins the show via satellite and says he’s taking over the program. He’s the only law and order and British Bulldog better keep that in mind. Mountie notes that he could be doing something more worthwhile such as giving tickets to people who can’t park correctly. Mountie says every dog has their day and says the only reason he’s not champion is because he fought Roddy Piper on short notice. Mountie isn’t going to lose this time around. WWF Intercontinental Champion British Bulldog joins the segment from the UK. Bulldog has been listening to what Mountie has been saying about him. Bulldog says the shock stick and Jimmy Hart will not be enough to beat him at Survivor Series. Mountie says he called Bulldog to tell him how to beat Bret Hart, but Bulldog calls Mountie a liar. Mountie declares he’s going to take the championship back. Bulldog notes that Mountie is the shortest reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion of all-time.

10.) Bossman rams Shango into the corner several times as the action is joined in progress. Bossman splashes Shango in the corner and continues with right hands against the ropes. Shango catches Bossman and drives Bossman into the corner back first. Shango strikes Bossman several times and sends Bossman into the corner. Shango chokes Bossman over the middle rope. Shango strikes Bossman and delivers a scoop slam. Shango taunts the crowd and strikes Bossman on the mat several times. Shango puts a nerve hold on Bossman, but doesn’t get a submission. Shango keeps control with a strikes to the ribs and goes back to the nerve hold. Bossman gets to his feet and collides with Shango after coming off the ropes. Bossman strikes Shango several times and atomic drops Shango. Bossman clotheslines Shango and pulls Shango to his feet to deliver a scoop slam and splash. Nailz is making his way down towards the ring. Bossman pummels Shango with right hands in the corner. Bossman notices Nailz and taunts his enemy. Shango decks Bossman from behind, but Bossman drops Shango with a strike and goes up the aisle towards Nailz. Bossman and Nailz end up brawling backstage. Shango wins the match by count-out. (*. Shango can’t carry a match with his offense that’s for sure. There wasn’t much going on here.)

11.) Virgil is still generating a strong crowd reaction and Louie got a substantial amount of offense. Virgil hit a flying dive over the top to the floor that looked rather dangerous. In the end, Virgil won following a side Russian leg sweep.

12.) The panel talks about the Ultimate Maniacs. Jim Duggan puts over Warrior and Savage, but flips out when Heenan tells Duggan to shut up. Mr. Perfect thinks their egos are too big and it will never work out. Duggan says their last match as a team they were preparing to wrestle at SummerSlam, but they are on the same page now.

13.) Repo backs Santana against the ropes and they have a standoff. Santana backs Repo into a corner, but Repo cheap shots Santana. Repo continues with a strike and rams Santana into the corner face first. Repo continues with strikes to the ribs. Santana dropkicks Repo and hits an arm drag. Repo bails to the floor to regroup. Repo wants to shake hands, but Santana doesn’t trust Repo and blocks a strike. Repo tries for a sunset flip, but Santana punches Repo. Santana keeps wrist control and elbow strikes Repo on the arm several times. Repo tries to slam Santana, but Santana rolls through to keep control. Repo trades strikes with Santana and Santana hits a crossbody. Santana keeps Repo on the mat with a hammerlock. Repo stomps Santana on the mat several times. Repo strikes Santana in the ribs. Repo wraps Santana’s arm around the ring post. Repo wraps Santana’s arm around the bottom rope. Repo strikes Santana in the corner. Santana stops Repo with an atomic drop. Santana scoop slams Repo and dropkicks Repo to the floor. Repo grabs a hubcap and whacks Santana over the head, but the referee didn’t see it. Repo tries for a cover, but Santana reaches the ropes. Repo delivers a snap suplex for a near fall. Repo tries for a piledriver, but Santana backdrops free. Santana strikes Repo several times. Santana clotheslines Repo coming out of the corner and hits a flying forearm smash. Santana heads to the top and axe handles Repo for a two count. Repo strikes Santana to regain control. Santana ducks a clothesline and nails Repo with a flying forearm smash to send Repo to the floor. Santana grabs the hubcap and chases Repo up the aisle leading to a double count-out. (DUD. Huh, Repo can’t do a simple job for Santana? This wasn’t very good.)

14.) The panel discusses Crush and his power. McMahon puts over his agility to along with his power.

15.) Next week, Bret Hart vs. Blake Beverly, British Bulldog vs. Kamala, Max Moon makes his debut, Earthquake vs. Ted DiBiase and the announcement of the Survivor Series main event.

16.) Jameson comes back out with another dish to show the panel. Jameson reveals a burnt chicken.

Final Thoughts:
I’d consider this a skippable episode of Prime Time Wrestling. Ultimate Maniacs don’t come across as a strong act and there’s really not even worthwhile heels outside of Flair to challenge them. They are in a major rebuild phase and there is a lack of establish stars to draw money with Savage and Warrior as a duo.
