Dustin & Maria Starr host the show and they promote the finals of the Cobra Cup tournament. Another commentator named Eric McMahon enters the scene and says he has finally made it after a couple of weeks of not getting through security.
MATCH #1: WALKER HAYES VS. RYAN REMBRANDT
FINISH: Rembrandt counters a back suplex off the middle rope and lands on top to pickup the win.
Bob’s Take: Walker Hayes kind of reminds me of the bad guy in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Hayes showed his agility with a leaping crossbody. Rembrandt showed some good offense hitting a hammerlock DDT at one point. There wasn’t a ton of action to this one, but it’s a good win for Rembrandt.

Backstage, Justin Cole is upset with Mike Anthony costing him in the Cobra Cup Finals and wants to settle things with him and issues a challenge.
A video package highlighting the tournament is shown and the main event is the finals of the tournament.
MATCH #2: CASSANDRA GOLDEN VS. PRECIOUS
FINISH: Golden surprises Precious with an inside cradle to win the match.
Bob’s Take: Precious started off with a sneak attack and taunted the crowd by doing a cocky cover early into the match. This is less than three minutes and Golden winning is the right call. Golden looks like she belongs on national TV. Precious is an entertaining character, but may be better suited as a manager long-term.

A video package showcasing Brett Michaels working out is shown.
Backstage, Derrick King is interviewed alongside Van Vicious. King introduces Queen Kaitlin to join the segment. Kaitlin says she is the queen of Memphis. Kaitlin claims she sits far ahead of the women in the division. Kaitlin is going to show why you always bet on black.
MATCH #3: THE POSSE (LIL’ CHRIS & SIMON REED) VS. THE SKIMAHORNS (BRAD & BRIAR)
FINISH: Chris gets a sunset flip on Brad to win the match after Reed pulled Briar to the floor.
Bob’s Take: The Skimahorns had been bullies backstage and the Posse had saved others from them setting up this match. Skimahorns had control early on after a sneak attack and they had some quality offense including a double team splash on Chris at one point. Reed gets the hot tag and does a good job cleaning house, but gets dumped to the floor to halt his momentum. The finish was a little weak, but I kind of dig the Posse.

A video package promoting Jase Osei is shown. Osei is doing some kickboxing and looks to be a badass.
MATCH #4: THE YUNG GOATS (AARON ROBERTS & ZAY WASHINGTON) VS. THE CROWLEYS (JACKSYN & OTIS)
FINISH: Late in the match, Humongous comes out and destroys the Yung Goats. Humongous is associated with the Crowleys. Humongous chokeslams Washington and Roberts. Obviously, this ended in a disqualification.
Bob’s Take: Zay Washington started off the match hitting a nice head scissors and dropkick. There’s some talent that quickly stands out as being above the rest and Zay is one of those guys. Crowleys hit a good combo set with a Slingblade to gain the advantage. Otis delivered a slingshot X-Factor on Washington, too. Washington had a great run in the ring finishing off with a Spanish Fly. Roberts excelled with his hot tag tossing around the Crowleys. Goats hit a back suplex/middle rope elbow drop for a near fall. Washington hit a series of running heel kicks in the corner. Even with the interference by Humongous, I thought this was a fine tag match. I think I’m sold on the Yung Goats as being a great tag team.

Backstage, Brett Michaels is interviewed regarding the main event. Michaels is working out his arms and says he’s been in the gym twice a day everyday to prepare for the finals. Michaels is looking to bring home the Cobra Cup.
Backstage, Norman Meklakov is interviewed regarding the main event. Meklakov says it doesn’t matter who he faces next because it is just another puny American.
Dustin Starr gets security to get rid of Eric McMahon. McMahon decides to leave on his own accord. David Marquez joins the commentary team for the main event.
MAIN EVENT: NORMAN MEKLAKOV VS. BRETT MICHAELS — COBRA CUP 2021 FINALS
FINISH: Michaels delivers a discus lariat and pins Meklakov to win the match and tournament.
Bob’s Take: I can’t put my finger on it, but Michaels is not a likable character. Sure he’s the babyface because Norman is an anti-American and it’s an easy character to dislike, but Michaels doesn’t come across as a babyface to me. The start of the match is basic with brawling and nothing of note for a good chunk of the battle. Norman doesn’t do much of anything to make good use of his heat segment on Michaels. I hope Michaels isn’t shoved down the viewers throats as a babyface because that’s the vibe this giving off.

Final Thoughts:
I’m glad the tournament is over with and we’ll get a focus on meaningful storylines. Give me some more Yung Goats, too.
