Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) This is the pre-show for WrestleMania XIX.

2.) A video package promoting Booker T’s quest for the RAW World Championship is shown.

3.) John Cena makes his way out to the stage, but his microphone doesn’t work. Cena is getting booed by the crowd and doesn’t realize his microphone doesn’t work. The microphone is fixed and says that Fabulous and Jay-Z didn’t want to come to WrestleMania have a rap battle. Cena mocks Jay-Z for not attending and calls him a bitch. Cena thinks he’d have better competition on a battle rap with Beyonce. Cena thinks Jay-Z maintains an erection banging other men. Cena turns his attention to Fabulous and says his raps suck. Cena is shredding these two rappers. Cena claims he’s going to main event WrestleMania XX. (There’s no denying the rap gimmick is fantastic for Cena.)

4.) Backstage, Tommy Dreamer is hyping up Nathan Jones. Nunzio bumps into Jones and steals his wallet. Jones runs after Nunzio and they end up iun the bathroom. There’s a ruckus and it is revealed that Jones had been attacked in the showers by Big Show and A-Train.

5.) The Dudley Boys are in the corner of RAW Tag Team Champions Lance Storm & Chief Morley.

6.) Starting next week, Heat will be on TNN instead of MTV.

7.) Storm and Morley attack during the entrance, but Kane tosses Storm over the top to the floor. Morley works over RVD with a chop, but RVD delivers a spin kick. RVD tries for rolling thunder, but Storm pulls Morley out of the ring. RVD hits a somersault dive over the ropes to the floor and plays to the crowd. Kane hits a slingshot crossbody to the floor, as well. The show goes to commercial.

Morley kicks RVD against the ropes and delivers a few chops in the corner. Morley continues to beat on RVD with strikes. Morley clotheslines RVD in the corner for a near fall. Morley puts a sleeper on RVD in the middle of the ring. RVD elbows Morley a few times, but Morley puts a sleeper on RVD again. RVD counters with a sleeper, but Morley plants RVD with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Morley misses a middle rope elbow drop attempt. RVD nails Morley with a kick and tags in Kane. Storm enters and Kane cleans house with clotheslines to the champs. Kane backdrops Morley followed by a side slam to Storm. Kane big boots Morley. Kane tries for a chokeslam, but Storm breaks free. Kane delivers a tilt a whirl slam on Storm for a two count. Kane heads to the top rope hitting a flying clothesline for a two count as Morley makes the save. RVD kicks Morley from the top rope. Kane clotheslines the champs in the corner. RVD heel kicks Storm and monkey flips Morley out of the corner. Kane clotheslines Morley to the floor. Kane grabs Storm and delivers a chokeslam. RVD heads to the top rope, but Morley shoves RVD off onto the railing. Kane punches Morley to the floor. Dudley Boys get in the ring and hit Storm with the 3D! D-Von rolls RVD into the ring and RVD covers, but Bubba elbow drops RVD. Bubba puts Storm on top and Storm pins RVD for the win. (**1/4. I’m guessing that the point of this was that the Dudley’s got some level of revenge, but they also need their jobs so they allowed the champs to retain. The action was solid throughout and they got plenty of time on Heat for the match. Kane and RVD are a fun tag team.)

8.) A video package promoting Rock vs. Austin is shown to end the program.

Final Thoughts:
A solid episode of Heat as they aired the video packages they needed to in order to drive last minute sales and the tag title match was a solid pre-show match. A good lead in for Mania.
