A bit slower pace than I would have liked. The closing minute was entertaining, but the arm work went a bit longer than it needed to go.)
4.) Jim Ross talked with Bill Fralic in Pittsburgh about charity.
5.) Ron Simmons and Richard Morton’s match aired on the July 11th edition of WCW Pro.
6.) Dick Slater and The Barbarian won their enhancement match when Barbarian wins following a big boot.
7.) Missy Does The Mail hosted by Missy Hyatt is up next. Hyatt talks about the issues between WCW United States Champion Rick Rude and Nikita Koloff. We see footage from WCW Worldwide, which has been seen several times where Koloff tosses Madusa to the mat and brawled with Rude.

Cactus takes Steamboat down to the mat, but Steamboat counters with a hammerlock and knee drops Cactus over the back. Cactus takes Steamboat down to the mat and delivers right hands, but misses an elbow drop. Steamboat kicks Cactus to the mat and continues with right hands as they brawl to the floor. All four men are on the floor brawling before returning to the ring. Windham elbows Austin to the floor while Steamboat elbows Cactus to the mat. Steamboat plays to the crowd. Austin tags into the match and wants a piece of Windham leading to Windham tagging into the bout. Austin knee lifts Windham followed by right hands against the ropes. Austin puts a bearhug on Windham in the middle of the ring, but Windham counters with a belly to belly suplex and a scoop slam. Windham arm drags Austin to the mat and keeps arm control. Steamboat tries to fight back with strikes, but Cactus cuts off Steamboat with an elbow strike and splashes Steamboat against the ropes. Cactus forearms Steamboat in the corner. Austin chokes Steamboat while the referee is distracted by Windham. Cactus hits a jackhammer for a two count. Cactus rams Steamboat into the corner. Austin enters and strikes Steamboat over the back. Steamboat avoids Austin and tags in Windham. Windham cleans house and backdrops Austin coming off the ropes. Cactus knee lifts Windham from the apron. Cactus tags back into the match and strikes Windham over the back. Windham ducks a clothesline and they collide on stereo clothesline attempts. Austin quickly tags in and stops Windham by ramming Windham into the corner. Windham inside cradles Austin and manages to get the three count for the win. (**1/4. This was mostly an average main event for WCW TV. I was hoping for a bit more, but I’m glad there was a clean finish.)
Final Thoughts:
An average episode of WCW Power Hour this week. There was a bit of repetitiveness especially with Missy Does The Mail as she’s only focusing on the same feuds over and over again. I think WCW is still doing fairly well with their angles and keeping the programming interesting.
Thanks for reading.
