A video highlighting last weeks episode focusing on the NWA Elite and Bill Behrens where Behrens was beaten down by the NWA Elite.
We see more footage of Onyx hanging Lazz over the top rope from last week, but Shank ran out to make the save. Commentary tries to make it seem like Shank and Lazz would be an odd pairing, but it actually makes sense to me. Lazz hugs Shank and they walk off together with Shank spanking Lazz as they head backstage.
NWA Tag Team Champions Bad Attitude (David Young & Rick Michaels) come out to join commissioner Al Getz in the ring. Getz notes they were the former Wildside Tag Team Champions because they can’t hold both titles. Young chimes in and says it is good to be back home in Cornelia. Young notes he’s been in every company, but he’s most proud to say they won the titles for the people in Cornelia. Young promises they will be fighting champions. Michaels repeats about how they’ve worked in WCW and WWF, but is most proud to be in Cornelia as the NWA World Tag Team Champions. Michaels says they never lost the Wildside Tag Team Champions, but they can’t hold both titles. Michaels introduces the rightful Wildside Tag Team Champions Boogaloo Crew. Boogaloo Crew join the segment. Michaels puts over Boogaloo Crew and says there’s no other guys that he wants to be the tag champions and they embrace to show respect for each other to end the segment.
MATCH #1: WILDSIDE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION STONE MOUNTAIN VS. JESSE TAYLOR — NON-TITLE
FINISH: Taylor counters the Landslide and hit the belly to belly suplex, but the match ended in a time limit draw.
Bob’s Take: Mountain is one of the few guys in Wildside that gives me big-time vibes and he’s essentially the Wildside version of Goldberg. Taylor impressively hit a crossbody off the top to the floor to actually knock Mountain off his feet early into the match. Taylor hit a leg drop over the middler rope to get a shocking amount of control. Mountain fought back with a side slam and a casual big boot to stop Taylor’s momentum. They had an awkward spot where Mountain sunset flipped himself. Taylor focused his attack on Mountain’s left knee. Mountain being in a competitive match is a bit odd to see especially on TV. I’m far more use to seeing Mountain just dominate and continue along, and I think that’s what the audience would rather see. The finish is actually not too bad as Taylor was seemingly just about to beat Mountain. This is a fairly big outing for Taylor to make him look like a serious threat. This is the most damage I’ve seen done to Mountain.

Backstage, Shank cuts a promo saying he may be with our wives or girlfriends when we’re at work.
MAIN EVENT: BOOGALOO CREW (DAZZ & WRENN) VS. AJ STYLES & WILDSIDE JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION ONYX
FINISH: Late in the match, Crew hit the Boogaloo Bounce on Styles, but Bailey and Knight enter the ring to cause a disqualification. After the match, Cole Twins and Total Destruction enter the ring to brawl for a bit. Shank is out there along with Bad Attitude. Young hit a spinebuster on Onyx.
Bob’s Take: Early on, Onyx, Styles and Dazz miss a bunch of standing aerial moves until Dazz got control of the match hitting a double dropkick, but all three men kip up as Wrenn has remained on the apron the entire time. Wrenn showed his power early on with clotheslines, but got dumped to the floor where Styles hit a springboard crossbody onto Wrenn. Dazz took them out with a dive, too. Onyx got in on the diving over the ropes to the floor. Wrenn does a dive, too. Wrenn brawls into the crowd with Styles & Onyx. However Dazz jumps off the ring post and dives into them easily three rows deep into the crowd. That was an insane spot. Back in the ring, Onyx works over Dazz hitting a snap powerslam. Dazz continues to be worked over with a double backdrop. Elite continue to work over Dazz for a good bit of time. Wrenn plants Styles with a pop-up powerbomb to help out Dazz. Wrenn gets the hot tag and tosses Styles across the ring and hit a spinebuster on Onyx. Crew hit a wheelbarrow suplex/clothesline combo on Styles. Wrenn holds a chair in front of Onyx’s face allowing Dazz to dropkick the chair into Onyx’s face. The finish takes place just moments later, and it’s predictable for the DQ finish. Seems like Wildside tends to do the cheap DQ finish instead of clean finishes. The tag match was good, though. Boogaloo Crew is much better together and I’ll likely continue to repeat that. Their dynamic meshes very well and they’re just a good duo.

Backstage, Jeff G. Bailey cuts a promo about what they did to Bill Behrens last week. Bailey brags about embarrassing him last week. Wildside is all about the NWA Elite and Steve Martin. Bailey says Behrens isn’t needed anymore. Bailey promised that Lazz will cease to exist and promises that Onyx will end Lazz. Bailey believes Shank saved Lazz. Bailey proceeds to use the f slur and says they were going to leave Lazz like Matthew Shepard… dead. (That was a bit of an extreme line.)
Final Thoughts:
Man, Bailey can say some really vulgar things. It’s shock value kind of comments, and it’s comments such as the closing scene that make the viewer want to see him get beaten up. There wasn’t as many segments on this show as compared to most weeks, but I thought this was an enjoyable week of TV.
