ROH Glory By Honor X Predictions!
Tomorrow night Ring of Honor returns to internet pay per view with the tenth annual Glory By Honor event taking place live from Chicago Ridge, IL! Here are my predictions for the event.
Four Corner Survival Match:
Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin vs. Mike Bennett vs. Grizzly Redwood
At first a first glance, I think Redwood is the guy who gets pinned here. Cole, Elgin and Bennett all seem to be the future of ROH and any of them could get a huge win here. I’m going based off who I like better and who can be a force to be reckoned with. Thus, I’m going to go with Elgin picking up the win here.
Jimmy Jacobs vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Considering Ciampa is undefeated, I can’t imagine they would spoil his first defeat by having Jacobs beat him. When Ciampa loses it has to make someone else in the process a star in ROH and I don’t think Jacobs needs this win. Perhaps, we see a Kevin Steen appearance at this show?
Eddie Edwards vs. Kyle O’Reilly
This should be a really good match since O’Reilly is pretty much an offspring of what Davey Richards is in the ring. Edwards wins a hard fought match.
Briscoe Brothers vs. the Young Bucks
In my opinion, the Briscoe Brothers need to wrestle the WGTT at Final Battle. They have been given a lot of airtime on the new show and it’s a feud that has been heavily promoted. I don’t see how the Young Bucks winning here benefits that buildup whatsoever. Briscoe Brothers win.
Proving Ground Match:
ROH Television Champion Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong
My understanding of this is that if Strong wins or lasts the time-limit he gets a title shot. I think these two wrestling at Final Battle would just be great. Though, Strong should win this match before the time limit t give him a credible chance to win the title when it comes down to crunch time. That’s not to say that people don’t see him as a threat to begin with, but having him beat the champion gives the impression to any new fans that Strong is a force in ROH.
For the ROH World Tag Team Championships:
(champions) Wrestling Greatest Tag Team defends against the All Night Express
I don’t have any doubt that Haas and Benjamin will retain the straps here.
ROH World Championship:
(champion) Davey Richards vs. El Generico
Again, I have no doubt that Davey Richards will retain the strap here.
Well, it looks like this show is set up to be a good one, if not great. So, I hope you order the show and enjoy it. I’m sure the $15 will be money well spent!
Thanks for reading.
