Outside, Glen Gilbertti tells Julio Dinero and Alexis Laree that he is going to beat Raven’s ass tonight!

Opening Contest: Jason Cross & CM Punk vs. AJ Styles & D’Lo Brown: Cross and Punk attack before the bell. Cross takes Brown out with a corkscrew dive on the floor. Styles kicks Punk but on a springboard off the apron saw Punk dropkick Styles in midair. Back in the ring, Styles goes for a springboard DDT on Cross but Punk cuts him off with a kick to the face. Cross drops AJ on his head with a dragon suplex for a near fall. Punk hits a slingshot senton from the apron across Cross knee on Styles. Punk spikes Styles with a hammerlock DDT for a two count. Cross connects with a nice somersault Un-Prettier on Styles but only gets a near fall. AJ fires back with several strikes and a huge discus clothesline to turn Cross inside out! Brown and Punk are tagged in. Brown hits Punk with a leg lariat. Brown and Styles hit a Sky High/neck breaker combo on Punk. Brown power bombs Cross and they hit a frog splash/450 splash on their opponents to win it. (***. I really enjoyed the match as it was far from a squash match. Punk and Cross worked well together and both teams hit some nice double team stuff. For a four minute match, it was done very well.) After the match, D’Lo Brown tells AJ Styles that his goal is not to be a tag team champion. He is here to earn respect and to be NWA-TNA World Champion. He says they both have been screwed with lately. Brown proceeds to call the guys they just wrestled as being jobbers. Styles agrees that Jeff Jarrett has the power. Styles says the tag team needs to end so they can accomplish their dream and they shake hands to end their partnership.

NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett makes his way out and is greeted with boos from the Nashville crowd. Jarrett issues a challenge to Raven to settle their issues in the ring like men. Raven makes his way out and calls Jarrett a backstabbing pussy and a coward. Raven compares Jarrett’s political connections to Shane McMahon and Stephanie. Raven wants a piece of Jarrett in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match. Jarrett says he is going to protect Raven until he gets him in the ring. At that moment, a man with a contract comes out and hands it to Jarrett. Jeff goes to Mike Tenay wondering if he knows about this apparent suspension given to him by TNA.

Backstage, Glen Gilbertti is happy about Jarrett getting suspended. He says that he is going to beat Raven up so bad he will wish he was detoxing. Gilbertti sends the Harris Brothers to get him Chris Harris.

BG James is back and is no longer with SEX as he has a TNA shirt on.

Second Contest: The Sandman & Sonny Siaki vs. Konnan & BG James: Siaki and Konnan kick off the match. Konnan clotheslines Siaki and plays to the crowd. Sandman avoids tagging in Siaki since they don’t like each other. James gets in and works over Siaki as well. Siaki stops James with a forearm shot but misses a clothesline and BG delivers several jabs and a knee drop. Sonny is annoyed with Sandman not tagging in. Siaki drops BG with a swinging neck breaker and a standing flip leg drop. Sandman gets tagged in and spits beer at Siaki followed by a kendo stick shot. BG hits a pump handle slam and pins Siaki. (NR. The main point of this was to advance the Siaki/Sandman and BG as a baby face, I’d guess?)

In a pre-tape promo New Jack tosses a gallon of water off the balcony through a table, which will happen to Slash later on. Shark Boy comes over and challenges New Jack to a board game of Chutes and Ladders.

Third Contest: New Jack vs. Slash in a Hard Ten match: Mike Sanders is on commentary to brag about his hard ten victory. Slash takes Jack out with a suicide dive on the floor and uses a trash can lid on Jack. Jack whacks Slash over the head with a trash can lid as well. They use a trash can to get a point each. Jack comes off the apron to hit Slash with a chair. Slash comes back with a trash can lid. Slash tosses a trash can at Jack to get a 6-3 lead. Slash continues to use a trash can lid on Jack to get a 8-4 lead. Jack whacks Slash on the groin with a 2×4 shot. We are tied at 8-8. They begin to trade more shots and are tied at 13-13. They are on the top rope until Jack press slams Slash off and through a table on the floor to win 18-13. (*. Same old hardcore stuff. The whole point system kind of hurts the match as it’s evident that it’s all set-up.)

Mike Tenay interviewed Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper. Daniels says they are the best tag team in the world and they have embraced sports entertainment and that is why they are the best there is.

Outside, Ron Killings and Konnan attack the Harris Brothers as they were drinking beer in the parking lot.

Backstage, the Maximo Brothers talk with Goldylocks and put over Amazing Red for his recent success in the company. Erik Watts comes over and flirts with Goldylocks before leaving the scene with her.

Fourth Contest: NWA-TNA World Tag Team Champions Elix Skipper & Christopher Daniels vs. The Maximo Brothers: Daniels and Skipper work over the Maximo Brothers before the bell to get a cheap advantage. Daniels starts off with Joel. Daniels hits Joel with a STO and tags in Skipper to hit a double suplex. Joel hits a cross body on Skipper but Elix hits a spin kick for a near fall. Joel rolls Skipper up for a two count. Skipper plants Joel with a headlock slam. Daniels tags back in and slams Joel. Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever for a two count! Skipper leg drops Joel across the top rope but can’t get a three count. Joel drops Skipper with a springboard kick and makes the tag to Jose. Jose enters and cleans house. Jose takes Skipper over with a hurricanrana. Daniels staggers up and is met with a double bulldog. Maximo’s hit a neck breaker/moonsault combo on Skipper! Jose dives off the top onto Daniels on the floor. They go for the Spanish Fly on Skipper but Joel leaps off to moonsault Daniels. Daniels hits the Angels Wings on Joel and Jose nearly wins with a cross body off the top. Joel gets crotched on the top and Skipper hits a hurricanrana for the win. (**1/2. A fine match though a little sloppy. Maximo’s being back in TNA will only help the tag division.) After the match, Raven comes out and plants the Maximo’s with two DDTs! That’s a message for Amazing Red for what he did last week.

Backstage, Glen Gilbertti is wondering what happened with the Harris Brothers. Desire confronts Tracy which leads to a brawl into the ring. David Young sides with Desire by hitting Tracy with a spine buster.

Backstage, Goldylocks is making out with Erik Watts, but doesn’t trust him. She tells him that and Watts assures her that he will earn her trust.

Backstage, Kid Kash is approached by Nurse Veronica. Kash harasses her because of what Tracy did to him before. Veronica whacks Kash over the head with her clipboard.

Fifth Contest: Kid Kash vs. Trinity: To the surprise of no one, Trinity is the Masked Luchadore. Trinity kicks Kash in the balls and hits a slingshot cross body to the floor. She also hits a hurricanrana off the ring steps. Trinity comes off the top to hit a missile dropkick for a near fall. Kash uses the claw on Trinity but gets stopped with a low blow. Trinity drives Kash down with a power bomb and heads to the top. Kash catches Trinity on a moonsault attempt and plants Trinity down with a modified Snow Plow. (DUD. Well, that was kind of a disappointing way to end the angle.)

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett returns to the building to kick some ass.

Backstage, the Harris Brothers bring Chis Harris to Glen Gilbertti and they offer Chris Sabin to team with Harris tonight.

Sixth Contest: Jerry Lynn & Justin Credible vs. Chris Harris & NWA-TNA X-Division Champion Chris Sabin: James Storm is not at the show due to personal reasons, per Mike Tenay. Sabin and Lynn kick off the match. Sabin shoulder blocks Lynn and goes for a swinging side slam but Lynn counters with a hurricanrana. Lynn hits a German suplex for a near fall and Harris tags in. Lynn takes Harris over with a head scissors and tags in Credible who is taken down by Harris with arm drags. Harris hits a leaping clothesline on Justin. Chris hits a top rope cross body but Credible kicks out at two. Credible hits a reverse DDT on Harris for a two count. Lynn tags into the match and works over Harris with stomps in the corner. Harris plants Lynn with a bulldog out of the corner. Lynn avoids a spear and gets yanked down by Sabin to allow Harris to hit another spear.

Sabin legally enters the match to work over Lynn. Lynn head scissors Sabin and is rammed into the corner. Sabin drops Lynn with a kick to the head and tags in Harris. Harris atomic drops Lynn and Sabin drops Jerry across his knee. Harris holds Lynn over his knee so Sabin can hit a leg drop for a two count. Sabin drops Lynn gut first to the canvas and tags in Harris. Harris hits a delayed vertical duplex on Lynn for a near fall. Credible gets the tag and clotheslines both Harris and Sabin. Credible stomps away on Sabin followed by a TKO by Lynn. Lynn has Sabin and goes for the cradle piledriver but Credible tells Lynn he is the legal guy. Sabin counters the That’s Incredible with a rollup to win the match. (**. Not a bad match as there was some decent action by all four men. The finish sets up a new feud between Credible and Lynn, which could be fun if it’s anything like their ECW stuff.) After the match, Lynn and Credible attack each other. Lynn gets on the microphone to let Credible know he is going to kick his ass just like he did in ECW.

Main Event: Raven vs. Glen Gilbertti: On the floor, Raven avoids a chair shot and sends Gilbertti into the guard railing a few times. They brawl into the crowd where Raven has the advantage with a few stomps. Raven hits a snap suplex on the concrete floor! Raven sends Glen into the side of the building a couple of times before grabbing a chair and jamming Glen’s throat into it. Glen sends Raven over the railing to gain control of the bout. Glen slides a chair into the ring and is met with a knee lift from Raven. Gilbertti stomps away on Raven but Raven locks in a cobra clutch! Gilbertti tried to fight out of it and rams Raven back first into the corner but Raven puts the hold back on. They both go for discus clotheslines and they hit the canvas after a collision. Raven hammers away on Gilbertti in the corner and goes back to a cobra clutch. Glen gets out of the hold and stomps away on Raven before grabbing a chair. Glen goes for a drop toe hold but Raven blocks it and whacks Glen over the back with the chair. Glen is also met with a chair shot to the face for a two count.

Raven hits a drop toe hold onto a chair. Raven hammers away on Gilbertti in the corner after putting his skirt over Glen’s face. Here comes the Harris Brothers to attack Raven. Julio Dinero and Alexis Laree help Raven with Laree getting slammed but Dinero gets some offense in. Glen chop blocks Raven from behind to get advantage of the match. Glen uses a chair on Raven to hurt his left knee. Gilbertti gets an ankle lock on Raven but can’t get a submission win as Raven reaches the bottom rope. Glen gets the ankle lock on Raven a second time. Raven knocks Glen off his feet with a kick to the head. Raven hammers away on Glen and hits a discus clothesline. Raven knee lifts Gilbertti as the fans are 100% behind Raven. Raven with a clothesline and bulldog out of the corner but only gets a near fall.

Gilbertti is hurting in the corner as Raven delivers another kick. Raven counters the Stunner and hits a clothesline after sending Glen into the corner for a two count. Sonny Siaki as come out to ringside. Glenn knee lifts Raven several times in the midsection but Raven plants Glen with the DDT. Siaki pulls the referee out on the cover attempt. Raven is pissed and gets low blowed by Gilbertti. Gilbertti hits the Chartbuster but Raven kicks out at two. Raven avoids a clothesline and Gilbertti runs over the referee with a clothesline. Raven drops Gilbertti with a super kick. Sandman runs down and hits Raven with a kendo stick. The fans are not liking that. Jeff Jarrett comes out and attacks Sandman and chases him to the backstage area. Raven counters a hip toss to plant Gilbertti with a botched DDT. Vince Russo enters and whacks Raven with a baseball bat. Glen covers and gets the win over Raven. (*1/2. Ugh, the booking of Raven continues to be poorly done. Now, we have the return of Vince Russo who has to be inserted into a story for who knows what reason. It’s a big win for Gilbertti, but it wasn’t even close to being clean so it doesn’t help establish him as a threat to Jarrett’s title next week.)

Final Thoughts:
The opening tag and the tag title matches were the best ones but they were more average than they would be must-see. Raven continues to be the best part of the show and is still being booked horribly. Soon enough the fans are going to give up on caring about a guy that gets screwed over so much. If Raven were to just be the champion already TNA would be in much better shape. This weeks episode gets a thumbs down from me.

Thanks for reading.
