Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Mean Gene interviews Dave Taylor and Fit Finlay after a handful of squash matches. Finlay says they are on a roll and they win the WCW World Tag Team Champions. They believe they will be the first European tag team champs. Gene is messing up during this and is made fun of by Finlay and Taylor. Dave says that they speak proper English unlike the fans. Finlay says that all the rednecks are going to know what it means to be tough.
2. Psychosis gets double teamed early on. Rey hits a bronco buster on Psychosis. Psychosis takes Kidman down with a front suplex. Rey hits Billy with a springboard seated splash and gets worked over by Psychosis. Kidman sends Psychosis to the floor and Rey takes Kidman down with a head scissors. Kidman takes Rey down with a slingshot head scissors from the apron. Psychosis dropkicks Kidman from the top and gets a near fall on both Rey and Billy. Kidman drops Rey with a sit out slam. Psychosis puts Kidman on the top and hits a victory roll from the top and gets a near fall. Rey rolls Psychosis up for a two count. Psychosis sends Rey to the floor. Kidman is backdropped over the top by Psychosis onto Rey on the floor. Psychosis leaps off the top to hit a cross body on both men on the floor! Rey head scissors Kidman and all three men are counted out. (*1/2. Seriously, a triple count-out. A lame finish here. Some fine action but they aren’t going to put forth their top stuff on Saturday Night.)
3. Chavo chops and stomps on Smiley early on in the contest. Guerrero clotheslines Smiley and scoop slams Norman. Chavo drops Norman with a back suplex for a near fall. Norman is sent to the floor. Guerrero dropkicks a seated Smiley. Norman comes back with a back suplex of his own and taunts the fans. Smiley is doing the Big Wiggle and several people in the crowd are doing it with him. Smiley drops Chavo with a swinging scoop slam. Smiley drops Chavo down with a double under hook slam. Smiley counters a takedown and rolls Chavo up with his hand on the ropes to win the match. (*. A rather boring match between these two, but at least there is some kind of story concluding on Saturday Night between the men.)
Final Thoughts:
The feature matches were disappointing especially the triple threat match. Aside from that, the squash matches featured some good talent and helped the show not being a complete waste of time.
