World Championship Wrestling presents Main Event
Date: 2/26/1995
From: Gainesville, GA
Matches:
1.) Dustin Rhodes & Johnny B. Badd defeated WCW Television Champion Arn Anderson & Blacktop Bully
Angle Developments/Notes:
1. Dustin and Bully kick off the tag match with Dustin hammering away on Bully. Rhodes knocks Bully off his feet with a kick to the head and tags in Badd. Badd comes off the top with a double axe handle. The babyfaces continue to tag in and out and delivering quick shots on Bully. Anderson tags in but is knocked down by Rhodes. Arn knocks Badd off the apron and Rhodes knee lifts Anderson to the floor. Badd punches Arn and Bully on the floor. Back in the ring, Badd nearly pins Arn with a sunset flip from the top. Arn drops Rhodes throat first across the top rope and gets the advantage. Bully and Anderson double team Dustin for a brief period of time. Rhodes tries to get a tag to Badd, but is prevented by Bully. Badd gets the tag after Dustin rolls through Bully’s legs. Badd cleans house and rolls Anderson up for the win. (**. A decent match here with some quality action. These four guys seem to be on television quite a bit, though.)
Final Thoughts:
A fine edition of the show. I think moving forward there won’t be a final thought section as it’s literally one feature match, for the time being at least.
