3.) SMW Beat The Champ TV Champion Tracy Smothers fought Chris Candido to a draw

Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) This is the 100th episode for SMW television.

2.) Chris Candido comes out and gives Dutch $200 that he owed him. Dutch draws to see who will compete in the Beat The Champ match and it just so happens to be Chris Candido.

3.) Darryl Van Horn is interviewed regarding Bobby Blaze challenging Prince Kharis. Van Horn says that Blaze is the lowest form of human because he is from Kentucky.

4.) Dirty White Boy and Dirty White Girl are interviewed about Brian Lee and Tammy Fytch putting their hands on White Girl last week. White Boy is going to bust Lee’s head open when they meet in the ring again. He is going to walk out as the SMW Heavyweight Champion at Christmas Chaos. Dirty Whtie Girl promises that Tammy will be carried to of the ring.

5.) The Bruise Brothers are interviewed regarding their feud with the Moondogs, whom they are meeting at Christmas Chaos. They are going to get theirs since the Moondogs have had their fun at the expense of them.

6.) Down & Dirty this week is with SMW Heavyweight Champion Brian Lee and Tammy Fytch. Lee doesn’t know if White Boy and Smothers are going to kiss and makeup or stab each other in the back. Lee is going to walk out the triple threat match with the title and woman. Tammy tried to help Dirty White Girl last week with makeup advice. Tammy isn’t worrying about the triple threat match because Brian Lee has this under control.

7.) Jim Cornette and SMW Tag Team Champions the Heavenly Bodies are interviewed. Cornette says either Bullet will be unmasked or he will have his hair shaved when this airs o television. Cornette is confident that Dick Murdoch is going to take care of Bullet. Cornette has never hated anyone more than he hates Bullet. They also talk about Doug and Mike Furnas. Tom Pritchard says they are stepping into a completely different playing field. They are going to show them how the game is really played. They guarantee they will be walking tall after Christmas Chaos.

8.) Tim Horner is interviewed about his injury due to Prince Kharis. Horner says his career is on hold and hates to be out of a job. Horner says that SMW has offered him a position in the company. Horner will be working part of the SMW training camp.

9.) Candido bails to the floor to stall for a few moments to avoid Smothers. Smothers gets a near fall with a rollup and Candido asks for a timeout claiming that Smothers used his tights for leverage. Candido kicks Smothers several times in the midsection and wrenches on Tracy’s arm. Smothers chops Candido several times and several strikes to knock Candido off his feet. Candido plants Smothers with a power bomb to counter a leapfrog. Smothers hits a leaping uppercut after coming off the ropes. Tracy gets crotched on the top rope and Candido hammers away on Smothers. There is one minute left in the title match for some reason. Candido hits a dangerous top rope hurricanrana but Smothers kicks out at two. Smothers rolls Chris up for a near fall. Smothers avoids Candido in the corner and the time runs out after Smothers hit a top rope cross body. The match was literally five minutes. (*1/2. For a five minute match it made me want to see more of these two competing.)

Final Thoughts:
1993 for SMW ends with an average episode at best. I do want to see more of Candido and Smothers in action since they seem to have some great chemistry and similar styles. Hopefully they can get some better momentum going in early 1994.
