Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) We see footage of Rhino tossing Spike Dudley off the stage through a few tables. Rhino also GORED Spike through a table in the corner. Spike appears to have suffered a knee injury. The video also highlights Rhino hitting Jazz with a piledriver. Rhino GORED Paul Heyman after Heyman hit Cyrus with the ECW Television Championship. Sandman made the save and Super Crazy got involved, as well.
2.) Backstage, Rhino GORED Super Crazy into lockers and Cyrus says nobody stands up to the Network.
3.) Footage from Living Dangerously is shown where Sandman saved his wife from an attack, but Rhino spiked Sandman with a piledriver. Rhino GORED Lori through a table in the corner.
4.) New Jack dives off the balcony onto Jack Victory through a table in the crowd. Jack gets back to the ring, but Rhino GORES Jack and allows Corino to pin Jack.
5.) Backstage, Lou E. Dangerously cuts a promo with CW Anderson, Bill Wiles and Electra. Dangerously named the PPV after himself. Electra says she’s known Paul Heyman for a decade. Electra claims that Heyman never helped her when he could have. Electra can’t believe that Danny Doring would claim she’s jealous. She’s in her 30s and can have whomever she wants. Electra says that Roadkill personally hated her, but she hates him, too. Electra says that Roadkill’s tits are bigger than hers.
6.) Backstage, Danny Doring and Roadkill cut a promo. Doring says he’s had hotter and wetter women than Electra. Doring says the next whore he grabs from the club won’t be mistaken as his mother. Doring storms off and Roadkill bounces his chest. Sinister Minister was in the room and laughs. He eats tuna out of a can with his pinkie finger.
7.) Credible and Gedo start off the tag match with Gedo delivering a few elbow strikes. Credible shoulder blocks Gedo followed by a swinging DDT. Credible works over Gedo in the corner with right hands and stomps. Storm tags into the contest and kicks Gedo in the midsection and keeps control with right hands. Storm hits a standing dropkick as Gedo comes off the ropes. Gedo fights back with right hands on Credible in the corner followed by chops, but an eye rake stops him. Credible keeps Gedo on the mat with a headlock. Gedo elbows Credible trying to break free and sunset flips Credible for a two count. Credible decks Gedo with a clothesline to regain control. Storm tags back in and works over Gedo with right hands. Storm tries a cocky cover, but Gedo kicks out. Gedo ducks a clothesline and Storm tosses Gedo with a suplex, but Gedo lands on his feet and clotheslines Storm. Credible and Jado tag in with Jado cleaning house with clotheslines. Credible is flipped into the corner and knocked off the apron. Storm chops Jado a few times, and gets crotched on the top rope. Jado hits a top rope back suplex off the top rope for a two count. Jason tries to get involved with a chair and is driven face first onto the chair with a drop toe hold/elbow drop combo. Jado almost pins Storm with a rollup, but gets a kendo stick shot from Credible leading to a near fall. The crowd is loving this.
Credible stomps on Jado followed by a strike to the back. Credible gets a table from Jason and tries to suplex Jado through the table in the corner. Credible blocks a suplex with a low blow and Jado hip tosses Credible through the table. Storm stomps on Jado, but Jado hits a double under hook powerbomb. Gedo comes off the top to hit a frog splash and nearly pins Storm! Gedo delivers a jawbreaker and dropkick to send Credible to the floor. Gedo and Jado deliver running strikes to Storm in the corner. Jado hits a middle rope powerbomb on Storm and gets a two count! Credible superkicks Jado and the Impact Players deliver a spike piledriver for the win. (***1/2. Okay, that was a really good tag match with the crowd going absolutely nuts for the action. That is by far the best that the Impact Players have looked in the ring. They get a clean win after a great competitive tag match. That is how you develop new top guys. Jado and Gedo would be great additions to the tag division if they could be brought in regularly.)
8.) Backstage, Lance Storm cuts a promo saying that they have the tag titles and they are not slipping away again. Credible says the titles belong with them and they do their usual catchphrase.
9.) Guido takes Crazy down to the mat and they trade strikes. Crazy gets a rollup for a two count. Crazy misses a springboard moonsault, but lands on his feet. Guido gets an arm bar on Crazy, but doesn’t get a submission. Guido stomps on Crazy to keep control of the contest. Guido chops Crazy in the corner and is dumped onto the apron. They trade strikes until Guido gets footing on the top rope, but Crazy hits a superplex! Crazy connects with a springboard moonsault for a near fall. Guido sends Crazy through the ropes to the floor. Big Sal misses a splash and hits the railing. Crazy dumps Sal over the railing into the crowd. Crazy drop toe holds Guido into the railing face first. Crazy takes both men out with a crossbody off the railing. Crazy sends Guido over the railing into the crowd again and hits a moonsault off the railing into the crowd. Crazy rams Guido’s face onto a steel chair before returning to the ring. Crazy hammers away on Guido in the corner with right hands. Guido drops down to the mat. Guido counters more punches with a running powerbomb and locks in an arm bar. Guido leaps off the middle rope hitting a leg drop to the back of Crazy’s head for a two count. Guido chops Crazy in the corner and delivers a face buster to counter a head scissors for a two count. Big Sal gets in the ring and Guido climbs up Sal’s shoulders hitting an elbow drop and Sal drops an elbow. Guido goes for the cover, but Crazy powers out at two. Crazy low blows Guido and hits a powerbomb followed by a springboard moonsault for a two count. They begin to trade chops until Crazy hits a twisting powerbomb for the win. (***1/4. Another good match between these two. They work really fun matches similar to when Tajiri and Crazy battle. I’m glad that Guido continues to get a chance to shine in competitive matches.)
10.) There is a Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka match, but luckily I looked before reviewing it unlike the tag match earlier and it aired on ECW on TNN. Raven and Tommy Dreamer got involved leading to Dreamer being powerbombed through a table in the corner.
Final Thoughts:
I enjoyed the episode as they aired a great tag match and Crazy/Guido delivered an entertaining bout, too. An easy hour of program to watch this week.
Thanks for reading.
