Angle Developments/Notes:
1.) Mean Gene hosted the Royal Rumble Report and promoted that Ric Flair won the WWF World Championship, LOD retaining the WWF Tag Team Championships and Roddy Piper winning the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Flair will be defending the title at WrestleMania VIII. Gene says we’ll be hearing from wrestlers fighting to be the top contender. WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect cut a promo. Perfect says that the fans will never get a chance to walk with a real champion like Flair. Flair says it can’t be disputed that he defeated 29 other wrestlers. Flair proclaims they are number one.

2.) There’s a vignette promoting the debut of Chris Chavis.

3.) Mountie shares a pre-tape during his match and promises to regain the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

4.) Mean Gene introduces the top five contenders where one of them will wrestle Flair at Mania. Hulk Hogan isn’t going to complain about getting the short end of the stick. Hogan knows that Tunney isn’t blind and knows that everyone has seen Flair run from Hogan since his arrival. Hogan proved that Hulkamania can’t be beat at the Rumble. Hogan is going to show what destiny is all about at WrestleMania. Hogan wants the chance to get his title back.

Undertaker and Paul Bearer are next. Bearer says that Undertaker was never beaten for the WWF World Championship. Taker sends a warning to Tunney saying that he better be the challenger, or he’ll eliminate all contenders and Tunney himself.

WWF Intercontinental Champion Roddy Piper puts over Tunney for looking great lately. Piper has been a contender his whole life. Piper believed he scares Flair because he knows Flair very well. Piper begs for the shot.

Randy Savage says it is up to Tunney to choose the contender to go after Flair. Savage suggests Tunney not forget his name because his name is greatness. Savage wants to return to the top. Savage has as equal a right to be top challenger than anyone.

Sid Justice finishes off the promos saying that Flair became champion with luck. Justice recalls ditching Hogan from the Rumble match and was in the final two with Flair. Justice promise that Flair has no chance against him. Justice finishes off saying saying he’ll do to Flair what Flair would do to him, but he’ll do it first.

5.) Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart cut a pre-tape promo on the Beverly Brothers. They call the Beverly’s sisters and Neidhart says they will find out how well versed the New Foundation is.

6.) Repo Man cuts a pre-tape promo during Virgil’s match and says he’s going to reposes Virgil’s career.

7.) Next week, Bret Hart returns to action. Chris Chavis makes his in-ring debut. Jack Tunney will reveal who will challenge WWF World Champion Ric Flair at WrestleMania VIII.

Final Thoughts:
A decent episode of Wrestling Challenge as they continue to build up the angle of who will challenge Flair. I think the obvious choice is Sid since he got screwed over at the Rumble and was in the final two with Flair. That angle has my interest and I’d be checking in to see who’d be the number one contender at Mania.

Thanks for reading.
