Grunge enters and clotheslines Scott followed by a few elbow drops for a two count. Scott takes Grunge down to the mat for a quick two count. Grunge pummels Scott with right hands to get the advantage. Grunge slams Scott and Rock leaps off the middle rope with a diving headbutt. Rock nails Scott with a clothesline coming off the ropes. Rock delivers a snap suplex for a one count. Scott ducks a double clothesline to hit a crossbody. Steve gets tagged in and clotheslines Grunge and Rock. Steve continues with a flurry of strikes, but is clotheslined by Public Enemy. Scott is knocked off the apron. Grunge plants Steve with a reverse DDT. Rock leaps off the top to hit a swanton bomb for the win. (*1/2. A good dominate win for Public Enemy and they did a good job not relying on anything hardcore wise. Armstrong’s tend to do a good job at making guys look good in the ring.)

2.) Randy Savage cut a promo regarding his match with WCW World Champion Ric Flair on Nitro. Savage says that Hogan will take care of Arn Anderson and hunting Flair is over now. Savage says it’s more than just the championship, but it’s about history and heart. Savage promises that Anderson and Flair will be destroyed on Nitro.

3.) Konnan arm drags Armstrong to kickoff the title match main event. Armstrong responds with an arm drag of his own. Konnan breaks free from Armstrong and they have a standoff. Konnan arm drags Armstrong out of the corner. Konnan backs away from Armstrong in the corner and Armstrong takes Konnan down to the mat. Konnan gets leg control on the mat, but doesn’t get a submission. Konnan switches into a standing Indian death lock, but Armstrong counters. Armstrong shoulder rams Konnan against the ropes and delivers a clothesline. Konnan nails Armstrong with a rolling lariat. Konnan gets a rollup for a two count as Armstrong reaches the ropes. Konnan gets an abdominal stretch on Armstrong. Armstrong counters with a stretch of his own, but Konnan gets a two count with a rollup. Konnan sunset flips Armstrong for a near fall. Armstrong nearly wins with a rollup, but Konnan gets a rollup on Armstrong to win the match. (*. It was a mostly slow match and the finish wasn’t earth shattering stuff. It was a disappointing match between these two.)

4.) Hulk Hogan cuts a promo saying that Anderson is shaking in his boots for their match on Nitro. Hogan rips off his eye patch and says nobody will be there to stop him from tearing Anderson apart on Nitro. Hogan is going to rip, tear and mane Anderson. Hogan has a bond with Savage and they are no longer nice guys. Hogan promises Savage will win the title.

Final Thoughts:
They promoted Nitro fairly well, but the action this week wasn’t all that good. It’s a skippable show for original content.

Thanks for reading.
