Guess what… This show is a recap show of Fright Night. For the past several weeks they’ve been promoting Fright Night as a non-televised event and the matches wouldn’t be aired on TV. Well, some of them are going to be. If this was a promotional tactic to get people into the arena for the big event instead of watching on TV, it may have worked one time, because now fans will believe they will air the matches on TV anyway. Unless they don’t and then fans will be pissed either way.
They show video of basically all the key moments from Fright Night. Scottie Wrenn turning on JC Dazz is the final moment as the end of the Boogaloo Crew happened at the event. Thunder is the new NCW Heavyweight Champion. Romeo Bliss won the NCW United States Championship from Jesse Taylor, as well.
Steve ‘Chance’ Martin promotes Fright Night and says we’ll hear from some of the men who competed at the event.
Scottie Wrenn and Al Getz cut a promo. Wrenn says they planned for this turn the whole time. Wrenn calls JC Dazz an idiot for thinking he wouldn’t be in the cage. Wrenn was tired of being a cheerleader and he’s going to take out Dazz. Wrenn calls Dazz a punk several times. Getz tells Dazz that they were at the same camp in Massachusetts. Getz recalls having a girlfriend, but Dazz stole his girlfriend fifteen years ago. Getz waited this long to get revenge and he found someone in Wrenn that was tired of Dazz, too. (Alright, I’m sure about this storyline advancement. It screams Raven/Dreamer background from ECW. Getz reasoning of an issue fifteen years ago and Dazz not knowing who he is seems to be a stretch to me, as well. They probably should have kept this between Wrenn and Dazz for a basic tag split.)
Terry “Mr. Extreme” Lawler cuts a promo at the top of a ladder. Lawler cut a promo about his involvement in the Wildside tournament. Lawler is cutting a promo as if he’s cosplaying like Steve Austin.
They show Terry Knight vs. Andy Anderson. Check out Fright Night ’99 for the review of the match. The confrontation between Jeff G. Bailey and Bill Behrens is shown, as well.
Terry ‘Mr. Extreme” Lawler vs. Damien Steele vs. White Trash is also shown from Fright Night ’99.
The Boogaloo Crew vs. Sex Pistols in a cage match from Fright Night ’99 is shown, as well.
K-Krush doing a rap is aired from Fright Night ’99. They don’t show the cage match with Ruckus, but they do show Ruckus attacking Krush from behind. Behrens claims he talked to Vince McMahon and McMahon allowed Krush to compete. The show goes off the air with them brawling in the crowd.
Final Thoughts:
The recap show should put an end to the Fright Night saga. I’m looking forward to the fallout and the direction Wildside goes with new champions and a heel turn with Scottie Wrenn.
Thanks for reading.
