It felt like this was going to the a spot fest to get the crowd amped up and it never really happened. Terry got some hype on commentary and promptly did… nothing? The referee frees Braun and Braun leaves the ring. (1/2*. Honestly, this is the dumbest usage of the stipulation. There was not violence it was just a match with basic offense with a poorly executed finish. Unless it leads to another match with more a violent filled match then this was just a disappointing match. Besides, a last man standing stipulation is far better than an I Quit match.)

It’s a fine match with quality action throughout. Collier is one of my favorite indie guys going right now. Collier comes across as a big deal on the indies and I look forward to seeing him on the shows. Heath is probably underrated.)

But, the referee is told of the cheating and match continues. Holiday nails Thomas with a running big boot and a snapmare driver for the win. (**1/2. A solid main event, but not a strong one to leave the viewer thinking they watched a classic match or anything. The dusty finish didn’t seem to be necessary to me. Why are we protecting Thomas? Holiday getting a clean win should be easy enough. I’ve heard a lot about Thomas in recent months and I didn’t see anything here that would make me think he’s a future megastar. But, then again, I’m not sure how big a priority Immortal is for him.)
Thomas grabs the championship, but Bill Collier runs into the ring and makes the save causing Thomas to bail to the floor.
Final Thoughts:
If this wasn’t recorded I’d treat this is as if you had watch an indie house show. It’s not terrible, it’s not good. It’s just kind of there. I had wanted to check out Immortal because it’s within driving distance for me, but this wasn’t a good impression for that effort.
Thanks for reading.
