They show footage from Fright Night, which remember they said was not going to be televised, and the focus is on the match between Romeo Bliss and Jesse Taylor for the NWA United States Championship. Romeo Bliss won the title following a piledriver. Romeo has the gold and kept his girl. Well, Candy ended up arguing with Bliss and slapped the champ. Terry Knight ended up making the save.

Tim Dix is in the ring and talks about K-Krush winning the NCW Television Championship from AJ Styles. Dix introduces AJ Styles for an interview in the ring. Styles asks for the owner, Steve Martin, to come to the ring. Martin leaves commentary and enters the ring. Styles asks for a title shot and wants one tonight. Martin notes that Jeff G. Bailey caused the title match. Martin doesn’t see why Styles wouldn’t get a title match tonight. Bailey, Krush and the mystery big man come down to the ring. Bailey tells Martin that he doesn’t tell them what to do. Bailey reveals the big man is named Crowbar (it’s not Devon Storm). Bailey tells Martin that if Styles wants a title match then he can wrestle his other guy the NCW Heavyweight Champion, Thunder. Thunder makes his way out slowly and doesn’t seem to be on the same page with Bailey. Bailey shreds Styles for being Martin’s favorite wrestler and calls him a queer spokesperson. Bailey reminds Thunder about the control he has on Thunder’s mothers house and that his mother will be on the streets begging for whiskey if Thunder doesn’t comply. Martin tells Thunder that he doesn’t have to align with Bailey. Martin warns Thunder that Bailey will take everything he’s got. Martin asks Styles if he wants to wrestle Thunder tonight. Styles says he’ll do whatever it takes to get his NCW Television Championship back.

Opening Contest: Mark Phor Michaels vs. Ed Swimmer: Michaels misses a clothesline and back elbow. Swimmer hits a tilt a whirl head scissors to send Michaels to the floor. Swimmer hits a dive to the floor to take out Michaels. Swimmer plays to the crowd and is decked by a clothesline. Michaels hits a snap suplex and a clothesline. Michaels sends Swimmer to the floor where Bad Attitude beat on Swimmer at ringside. Michaels clotheslines Swimmer in the corner and dumps Swimmer to the floor. Rick Michaels accidentally clotheslines David Young on the floor. Michaels kicks Swimmer, but Swimmer hits a spinning heel kick. Swimmer hits a clothesline as Bad Attitude yell at Mark. Swimmer dropkicks Michaels to the floor where Bad Attitude regroup with Michaels. Michaels clotheslines Swimmer in the corner, but Swimmer sidesteps Mark to hit a side Russian leg sweep. Mark crotches Swimmer on the top rope. Michaels hits a superplex and tosses Swimmer to the floor. Swimmer is stomped a few times before being rolled back into the ring. Rick hits a powerslam on Swimmer and returns to the floor. Mark tries for a forearm drop, but Swimmer catches Mark with an inside cradle and wins the match! (**. Mark not going for the cover and tossing Swimmer to the floor several times made it obvious that Swimmer was pulling this one out. Since Mark has been getting bullied by Rick in recent weeks, I’m expecting a split so that Bad Attitude can go on a run in Wildside without any distractions.) After the match, Rick tosses Swimmer away and slaps Mark several times in the corner. Dusty Dotson comes out, but is wearing street clothes as Bad Attitude leaves. Dotson asks if Mark and Swimmer look like idiots. Dotson says the company has them looking like idiots. Dotson notes that Swimmer is in a bathing suit and they have him acting like Dusty Rhodes because his first name is Dustin. Dotson wants the guys to stop laying down for everyone and start being men. Dotson calls Bad Attitude assholes. Dotson tells Mark to standup and be a man, or be a mark. Mark takes the shirt off and tosses his shirt at Bad Attitude. Well, it looks as if a group of Dotson, Swimmer and Mark Phor Michaels has been born.

Backstage, NCW United States Champion Romeo Bliss cuts a promo about winning the title just as he said he would. Bliss says that Candy is expendable. Bliss focuses on Terry Knight and says where he is from they wanted to see how bad he wanted to be a wrestler. Bliss notes all the guys he had to wrestle to prove himself. Bliss is still playing his dues and he’s old school. Bliss finishes off saying he’s old school, but new class.

Second Contest: Terry “Mr. Extreme” Lawler vs. Damien Steele finals of the Wildside tournament: Lawler slaps Steele, but Steele responds with right hands. Lawler misses a strike with his bag of weapons. Steele tosses Lawler with an overhead suplex. White Trash comes out to ringside with a ladder. Lawler kicks Trash at ringside. Lawler slides the ladder into the ring, but Trash hits Lawler with a hubcap. Steele tries to cover Lawler and only manages a two count. Steele sets the ladder up in the corner. Steele sends Lawler into the ladder and delivers a right hand. White Trash hits Lawler on the apron and Steele keeps control with an Indian death lock. Trash taunts Lawler from the floor, but Steele doesn’t get a submission. Steele hits a sit out slam for a near fall. Lawler whacks Steele over the head with a weapon. Lawler sits Steele on the top turnbuckle, but runs into a right hand. Steele hits a top rope heel kick. Trash sets up a table on the floor. Steele powerbombs Lawler through the table on the floor. Steele chokes Lawler as Trash enters the ring to help out. Steele superkicks Lawler coming off the ropes. Trash sets the ladder up on the floor as the show goes to commercial. Lawler ends up pinning Steele with a ladder over Steele to win the tournament. (1/2*. Well, that was a bit abrupt since before the commercial Lawler was getting double teamed and then suddenly won the title. That was weird editing. I have not cared about this tournament at all.)

Jeff G. Bailey and Crowbar walk up to a house that Bailey calls a dump. It’s Thunder’s mother’s house. Bailey tells Crowbar to smile. Thunder’s mother opens the door and Bailey introduces himself as friends to Craig (Thunder). She tells Thunder on the phone that some friends stopped by. Bailey tells her to tell Thunder that they’re there to look at the house. Bailey gets on the phone and tells Thunder to calm down. They are there to visit his mother. Bailey knew that Thunder would understand. Bailey is sure that he’ll be back soon and says that the home feels like it was his own home.

Third Contest: JC Dazz vs. Tank in a $5,000 bounty match: Dazz blocks a few strikes to elbow strike Tank followed by a slam. Tank bails to the floor to regroup. Tank yanks Dazz down to the mat, but misses a knee drop. Tank kicks Dazz away and delivers a few strikes. Dazz avoids a slam and dropkicks Tank. Dazz misses a second dropkick attempt. Tank rams Dazz onto the mat face first and follows up with a clothesline. Tank hits a gut wrench slam followed by an elbow drop. Tank chokes Dazz on the mat and boot scrapes Dazz on the mat. Tank dumps Dazz through the ropes to the floor. Tank sends Dazz into the ring post face first. Tank slams Dazz to maintain control in the ring. Tank keeps a chin lock on Dazz for an extended time. Tank eye rakes Dazz and sends Dazz into the corner before hitting a back suplex. Tank chokes Dazz over the ropes. Tank hits a swinging neckbreaker for a near fall. Dazz gets a two count with a sunset flip, but Tank delivers a clothesline. Tank continues with a vertical suplex on a bloodied Dazz for a two count. Tank tries to use the ropes for leverage. Tank slams Dazz, but misses a leg drop attempt. Scottie Wrenn comes out to ringside and distracts Dazz. Tank decks Dazz from behind and Wrenn cheap shots Dazz. The referee calls for the bell. After the match, Wrenn hits a sit out press slam. Wrenn plants Dazz with a powerbomb. Wrenn has a plastic blag and puts the bag over Dazz’s head to try and suffocate his former partner. Wrenn puts a dress on Dazz while Dazz is laid out. Wrenn also puts a blonde wig on Dazz. Wrenn powerbombs Dazz again. Wrenn uses lipstick to draw on Dazz’s face. Wrenn gets on the microphone and tells Dazz to think about the next time he tries to steal another man woman. Wrenn powerbombs Dazz a third time and notes that he did this because he’s super cool and we’re not. (*. The match itself isn’t that good, but I like JC Dazz and the aftermath with Wrenn was done very well and I like the build for their eventual showdown. Wrenn seems to be excelling at this heel turn and I’m figuring they both will do well in their singles and heel roles.)

Main Event: NCW Heavyweight Champion Thunder vs. AJ Styles: Thunder wants to shake hands, but Bailey demands that doesn’t happen. Thunder is reluctant to seemingly do this. Styles shoves Thunder and slaps Thunder. Thunder tosses Styles to the mat. Thunder sends Styles hard into the corner. Thunder misses a big boot and is met with a leg sweep. Styles kicks Thunder, but backs off as Thunder got to his feet quickly. Styles delivers a few strikes in the corner, but Thunder delivers a strike and drops Styles to the mat gut first. Thunder yells at Bailey on the floor. Thunder grabs Styles, but Styles kicks free and tries to fight back, but Thunder delivers a forearm over the back. Thunder shoulder blocks Styles to the floor. Thunder distracts the referee as Crowbar clotheslines Styles on the floor as the show goes to commercial.

Thunder heads to floor and walks off, but K-Krush slides into the ring and slams Styles. Krush goes to the top rope hitting a leg drop. Steve Martin runs into the ring and chases Jeff G. Bailey. Styles counters a powerbomb and drives Krush to the mat face first to end the show. (*1/2. I feel like Thunder is eventually going to turn full heel and join Bailey since he didn’t help Styles here. Steve Martin getting involved in angles likely means the owner can’t avoid inserting himself into storylines. I’m sure this will lead to Martin teaming up with Styles or somebody to wrestle Bailey and Krush, which wouldn’t be a bad idea.)

Final Thoughts:
Quite a bit going on with a new faction forming, Bailey making Thunder’s life a living hell and the strong angle involving Dazz and Wrenn. I enjoyed the show very much this week. A strong episode with some decent wrestling and the angles providing entertainment.
